    Abstract: An improved passive RFID tag configured for needle implantation in a tail of a rodent using a small diameter needle provides for increased read distances and effectiveness. In various embodiments, the RFID tag is comprised of an elongated flexible substrate having a pair of opposed surfaces with a UHF RFID chip positioned on a first of the opposed surfaces and is directly electrically connected to a closed-loop multi-layer folded dipole antenna disposed on both of the opposed surfaces of the substrate. An antenna is electrically connected to the RFID chip and includes at least an inductor as part of the closed-loop antenna. In embodiments, the RFID tag can be read with at least 90 percent effectiveness by a 30 dB RFID tag reader at least 5 cm from a tail of the rodent.

    Abstract: There is provided an ear cup comprising a housing, an ear pad attached to the housing and arranged such that the housing and the ear pad together define a cavity having an opening, and an acoustic driver disposed within the cavity. The ear cup further comprises a feedforward microphone, a feedback microphone, and active noise control (ANC) circuitry. The active noise control (ANC) circuitry is configured to use a feedforward signal provided by the feedforward microphone to operate the acoustic driver to attenuate noise having frequencies within a feedforward ANC range having a lower limit of no less than 300 Hz and an upper limit of more than 1.5 kHz and to use a feedback signal provided by the feedback microphone to operate the acoustic driver to attenuate noise having frequencies within a feedback ANC range having an upper limit of no more than 1.5 kHz.

The control circuit receives a primary signal indicative of an interaction stimulus; a secondary signal indicative of a position of the interactive toy with respect to the charging zone; and, responsive to the primary signal, controls the function device to perform a user-perceptible function selected based on the secondary signal.     Abstract: Techniques in this disclosure may provide a user interface that concurrently displays multiple panels which provide visualization of emergency call data of a law enforcement agency. The user interface can provide a high-level overview of emergency calls in a geographical area. Each panel in the user interface can provide visualization of the emergency calls and/or statistics relating to the calls. A user can customize which panels to include in the user interface and/or customize setting for each panel. The user may apply various types of filters to the data displayed in the user interface, and the panels can update the visualizations according to the filters. The user interface can also provide the ability to show data at various levels of detail within the same user interface or panel. The techniques in the disclosure can provide a convenient, digestible overview of tactical and/or strategic data in a single user interface.
