  • Publication number: 20240157287
Abstract: A scrubbing solution for removing contaminants, including particularly hydrogen sulfide, from a fluid. The scrubbing solution includes at least one scrubbing reagent which has a primary or secondary amine and an acid, which may be phosphoric acid. The fluid being scrubbed is passed through the scrubbing solution. The contaminants react with the scrubbing reagent securing them in the scrubbing solution. The fluid being scrubbed and the scrubbing solution are then separated. The scrubbing solution is heated and, if the scrubbing solution is under pressure, the pressure is reduced. The acid facilitates thorough removal of the contaminants, and especially the hydrogen sulfide, from the scrubbing solution. The scrubbing solution is then ready for reuse. Because the scrubbing solution is rendered substantially free of hydrogen sulfides, it can absorb other sulfide contaminants that might not otherwise be absorbed.

  • Patent number: 11982675
Abstract: ABC multidrug transporters are key players in cancer multidrug resistance and in general xenobiotic elimination, thus their functional assays provide important tools for research and diagnostic applications. It has been found that in cells expressing functional ABCG2, ABCB1, or ABCC1 transporters, cellular PG fluorescence is strongly reduced. The invention relates to methods and uses of fluorescein derivative ester compounds of formula Ia which are analogs of PG for assessing ABC transporter activity of ABC multidrug transporters. The present accumulation assay is a novel tool for the parallel determination of the function of the multidrug transporters, in particular ABCG2, ABCB1, and ABCC1. The assay is applicable for diagnostic purposes and also allows the selection, separation and culturing of selected cell populations expressing such transporters.

  • Patent number: 11947708
Abstract: In particular embodiments, a sensitive data management system is configured to remove sensitive data after a period of non-use. Credentials used to access remote systems and/or third-party systems are stored with metadata that is updated with each use of the credentials. After a period of non-use, determined based on credential metadata, the credentials are deleted. Personal data retrieved to process a consumer request is stored with metadata that is updated with each use of the personal data. After a period of non-use, determined based on personal data metadata, the personal data is deleted. The personal data is also deleted if the system determines that the process or system that caused the personal data to be retrieved is no longer in use. An encrypted version of personal data may be stored for later use in verifying proper consumer request fulfillment.

  • Publication number: 20240082472
Abstract: A blood treatment system with pressure sensors may be configured to control blood flow to and from the patient and use readings of the pressure sensors to determine a change in a pressure drop across a flow restriction in the blood circuit to estimate a condition of the machine or the patient, or outputting data responsive to the estimation. Further embodiments employ measurement of pressure drop to detect abnormal viscosity or viscosity variations in order to detect possible infection.

  • Patent number: 11886576
Abstract: A non-transitory computer-readable medium may include computer-executable instructions that, when executed, cause a processor to collect a portion of data associated with an asset from one or more sources based on a request received from a digital representation associated with the asset. The digital representation may perform a first set of simulations related to one or more operations of the asset over time. The processor may then generate a plurality of aligned datasets based the portion of the data, the one or more sources, and an identity of the asset. The processor may also aggregate the plurality of aligned datasets into a single dataset and transmit the single dataset to the digital representation to perform a second set of simulations based on the single dataset.
