  • Publication number: 20240236002
Abstract: Methods, non-transitory computer readable media, network traffic manager apparatuses, and systems that assist with allocating a traffic load through heterogenous topology of a network includes extracting a header of each of a plurality of received packets of a traffic flow. Each of the headers comprises fields. Next, the network traffic manager apparatus executes a hashing function over the fields of each of the headers, applies a load balancing function to determine one of a plurality of endpoints to send each of the received packets based on one or more endpoint characteristics, and maps the index for each corresponding one of the received packets to the corresponding selected one of the endpoints. The received packets are not evenly divided among the plurality of endpoints. Lastly, the network traffic manager apparatus sends the received packets selected endpoint based on the mapping from the load balancing policy.

  • Publication number: 20240226331
Abstract: The disclosure features compositions and methods for the treatment of inner ear dysfunction, such as hearing loss or vestibular dysfunction, that reduce inflammatory or cell-mediated immune toxicity in the inner ear, thereby improving transduction and therapeutic efficacy. The disclosure provides a variety of compositions that include a nucleic acid vector that contains a polynucleotide encoding a therapeutic agent operably linked to a ubiquitous promoter and inhibitor of inflammatory or immune cell signaling. The disclosed compositions and methods can be used to increase expression of the therapeutic agent in a subject, such as a human subject suffering from an inner ear dysfunction, while minimizing undesirable immune activation resulting from off-target expression of the target protein in immune cells of the inner ear.

  • Publication number: 20240231298
Abstract: Disclosed techniques relate to managing power within a power distribution system. Power consumption corresponding to devices (e.g., servers) that receive power from an upstream device (e.g., a bus bar) may be monitored (e.g., by a service) to determine when power consumption corresponding to those devices has breached or will likely breach a budgeted threshold corresponding to an amount of power allocated to the upstream device. If the budgeted threshold is breached, or is likely to be breached, the service may initiate operations to distribute power caps for the devices and to initiate a timer. Although distributed, the power caps may be ignored by the devices until they are instructed to enforce the power caps (e.g., upon expiration of the timer). This allows the power consumption of the devices to exceed the budgeted power assigned to the upstream device at least until expiration of the timer while avoiding power outage events.

  • Publication number: 20240232896
Abstract: Disclosed herein are aspects for splitting a recurring charge. An example method aspect begins by receiving transaction information specifying a transaction. The method continues by determining whether the transaction is recurring. When the transaction is determined to be recurring, the method creates a split protocol for the transaction based on an input from a user interface of a first user device. The split protocol specifies how to split the transaction with one or more other parties. The method then continues with several operations for each of the respective one or more other parties. Based on the split protocol, the method generates a split request specifying a portion of the transaction the respective other party should pay. The method then sends the split request to a second user device corresponding to the respective other party. The method can repeat the generating and sending steps for subsequent recurrences of the transaction.

  • Publication number: 20240228035
Abstract: An autonomous vehicle that is equipped with image capture devices can use information gathered from the image capture devices to plan a future three-dimensional (3D) trajectory through a physical environment. To this end, a technique is described for image-space based motion planning. In an embodiment, a planned 3D trajectory is projected into an image-space of an image captured by the autonomous vehicle. The planned 3D trajectory is then optimized according to a cost function derived from information (e.g., depth estimates) in the captured image. The cost function associates higher cost values with identified regions of the captured image that are associated with areas of the physical environment into which travel is risky or otherwise undesirable. The autonomous vehicle is thereby encouraged to avoid these areas while satisfying other motion planning objectives.
