  • Patent number: 9323428
Abstract: The on-boarding framework consolidates and ensures consistent implementation of business compliance with regulatory policy across a global business that is required to comply with regulations of international, regional, country specific, local jurisdictions, or the like. The on-boarding framework facilitates the work flow, approvals, documents, reporting, and other information using dynamic rules that dictate the on-boarding elements based on customer type, booking entity, location of the authorized approval, special products, data collected, and the like, which are used to dynamically evaluate the client's on-boarding potential regulatory issues, and the actions used to mitigate potential regulatory issues with the entity being on-boarded.

  • Patent number: 9323741
Abstract: A system and method for searching through functions and expressions with symbols. Moreover, the system can be used to recognize and further analyze the notations of this nature and use this in order to translate, transform into audio, or solve the mathematical problems. According to at least some embodiments, the functions comprise mathematic equations which are defined by symbols and mathematic notation. The system and method enable a user to enter a mathematical equation in a WYSIWYG environment to a search engine, and to find similar or identical equations, first and foremost according to theoretical similarity, and secondly, according to visual similarity. The engine does this be understanding the meaning behind the visual symbols of the equation using a Dynamic Hidden Markov Model (hereon DHMM). The system enables the user to insert the equation with no prior knowledge of LaTeX, or any computing language, and with no need to follow a predefined generic protocol in order to insert the query.

  • Patent number: 9325493
Abstract: Methods for preventing activation of hardware backdoors installed in a digital circuit, the digital circuit comprising one or more hardware units to be protected. A timer is repeatedly initiated for a period less than a validation epoch, and the hardware units are reset upon expiration of the timer to prevent activation of a time-based backdoor. Data being sent to the hardware unit is encrypted in an encryption element to render it unrecognizable to a single-shot cheat code hardware backdoor present in the hardware unit. The instructions being sent to the hardware unit are reordered randomly or pseudo-randomly, with determined sequential restraints, using an reordering element, to render an activation instruction sequence embedded in the instructions unrecognizable to a sequence cheat code hardware backdoor present in the hardware unit.

  • Patent number: 9325114
Abstract: A plug connector for cooperation with a socket connector (9) comprises a plug housing (2) having latch arms (22) with an end lug (29) for cooperation with an appropriate groove (95) in the socket connector (9), and being formed with a pair of split cross ribs (26) forming a gap (26a) therebetween. A CPA member (5) is provided for locking the connectors (1, 9) when mated, and comprises a pair of locking legs (50) and a pair of spring arms (53). The spring arms (53) each has a free end lug (54) and a nose (55) which projects inwardly so that, when the CPA member (5) and the plug connector (1) are in a pre-locked position, the nose (55) takes a short distance (d) to a support surface (20a) of the connector housing (20), and when there is a load well in excess of the mating a force onto the CPA member (5) in this condition, the noses (55) make a stop on the support surface (20a) to keep the CPA member (5) in the pre-locked position.

  • Patent number: 9322630
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing and checking a thread arranged in a cylinder head to receive a spark plug. However, the invention also relates to a device for checking the thread introduced into the cylinder head. By defining a starting point of the internal thread to be produced specifically in terms of position thereof within the parent hole by using spark plug parameters, the spark plug will always be aligned with its spark gap oriented toward the injector. For the purpose of checking, use is made of a plug gage, the screw-in thread of which has the parameters of the spark plug thread and with which, by using a measuring face, the position of an extension on the threaded body can be established. The extension simulates the ground electrode of the spark plug.

  • Patent number: 9325175
Abstract: A phase angle drift method for loss of mains/grid protection is disclosed. According to one aspect, an accumulated electrical phase angle drift derived from the difference between the current measured local frequency and the estimated frequency using historical data is compared to an angle threshold. An estimated grid frequency may be calculated based on the historical delay, and the window, over which the estimated frequency is calculated. An addition/subtraction of a phase angle offset value is calculated for a half cycle is performed when the frequency difference between the estimated frequency fnest and the measured frequency fn is greater or equal to a first determined value.

  • Patent number: 9324227
Abstract: An environmental monitoring device that includes an acoustic sensor is described. During operation of the environmental monitoring device, the acoustic sensor provides acoustic data based on measurements of sound in an external environment that includes the environmental monitoring device. Based on the acoustic data and predefined characterization of the external environment, a control mechanism determines if an alarm device, which is separate from the environmental monitoring device, is activated. For example, the predefined characterization may include a location of the alarm device. This location may be specified by: an image of the external environment, a positioning system, a communication network, and/or an acoustic latency in the external environment. Alternatively, the predefined characterization may include an acoustic transfer function of the external environment proximate to the alarm device and the environmental monitoring device.
