  • Publication number: 20150227516
Abstract: A processor-implemented method, system, and/or computer program product derives and utilizes a context object to generate a synthetic context-based object. A context object for a non-contextual data object is derived by contextually searching a document that contains multiple instances of the non-contextual data object. The non-contextual data object is associated with the derived context object to define a synthetic context-based object, where the non-contextual data object ambiguously relates to multiple subject-matters, and where the context object provides a context that identifies a specific subject-matter, from the multiple subject-matters, of the non-contextual data object. The synthetic context-based object is then associated with a data store in a data structure that contains heterogeneous data stores that hold data of different formats.

The method includes providing a laser scanning device at a predetermined distance from the worn surface of the camshaft lobes, the laser scanning device being configured to scan and gather data. The method includes moving the laser scanning device along a reference axis parallel with an axis of rotation of the camshaft and repeating the scanning for each camshaft lobe of the camshaft. The method includes generating a set of data points for each camshaft lobe. The method further includes determining a maximum depth of the worn surface based on the set of data points. The method also includes selecting the camshaft lobes for a remanufacturing process, if the maximum depth of the worn surface for each measured camshaft lobe is less than or equal to a predefined tolerance limit.

  • Publication number: 20150226001
Abstract: A motorized window treatment may provide a low-cost solution for controlling the amount of daylight entering a space through a window. The window treatment may include a covering material (e.g., a cellular shade fabric or a roller shade fabric), a drive assembly for raising and lowering the covering material, and a motor drive unit including a motor configured to drive the drive assembly to raise and lower the covering material. The motorized window treatment may comprise one or more battery packs configured to receive batteries for powering the motor drive unit. The batteries may be located out of view of a user of the motorized window treatment (e.g., in a headrail or in a battery compartment). The motorized window treatment may use various power-saving methods to lengthen the lifetime of the batteries, e.g., to reduce the motor speed to conserve additional battery power and extend the lifetime of the batteries.

  • Publication number: 20150225311
Abstract: A process for the conversion of an alcohol mixture to make propylene may include introducing into a reactor a stream that includes the alcohol mixture. The alcohol mixture may include 20 to 100 weight percent isobutanol. The process may include contacting the stream with a single catalyst at a temperature above 450° C. in the reactor at conditions effective to dehydrate the isobutanol, forming C4+ olefins, and to catalytically crack the C4+ olefins. The single catalyst may be an acid catalyst adapted to cause both the dehydration and the catalytic cracking. The process may include recovering from the reactor an effluent that includes ethylene, propylene, water, and various hydrocarbons. The process may include fractionating the effluent to produce an ethylene stream, a propylene stream, a fraction of hydrocarbons having 4 carbon atoms or more, and water.

  • Publication number: 20150226024
Abstract: A latching assembly has a tubular housing having an inner surface that defines an inner bore and an outer surface. A latch moves between a latch position that extends out from the outer surface and an unlatched position that is retracted from the latch position. A latching actuator moves between a first axial position that moves the latch to the latch position and a second axial position that moves the latch to the unlatched position. A manual release moves axially in response to a mechanical force to selectively move the latching actuator to the second axial position.

  • Publication number: 20150224941
Abstract: A self-propelled device includes a spherical housing and an internal drive system including one or more motors. The internal drive system acts to provide power to an interior surface of the spherical housing, thereby causing the self-propelled device to move. A biasing assembly can be included to enable the internal drive system to continuously engage an inner surface of the spherical housing. An external accessory magnetically interacts with interior magnetic components through the spherical housing such that as the self-propelled device rotates and maneuvers, the accessory component maintains a positional relationship to a top portion of the self-propelled device.
