  • Publication number: 20130030701
Abstract: A relative positioning system enabling a user to return to a starting position or some other point on the user's path. The system may include an array of accelerometers. The output from the accelerometers may be integrated to quantify movement of the array. The various movements of the array may be reconstructed to determine a net two or three dimensional translation. The current location of the array may be compared to a reference point to derive at trajectory directing the user to the reference point, such as an originating point. The trajectory may be continuously or periodically updated. Applications may include various displays presenting images, numbers, pointers, paths, vectors, or data by digital screens, watch faces, or other devices integrated with or remote from the processor calculating the vector back to the point of origin.

  • Publication number: 20130030971
Abstract: An allocation of funds to multiple accounts is determined. Information about financial transactions is received from multiple sources, and the information is aggregated to determine a total amount of allocatable funds. The allocatable funds include posted interest either before or after a term deposit payment date. Respective deposit rules are determined for each of the multiple accounts. The multiple accounts include sub-accounts at the same bank, and the deposit rules include a limit based on FDIC insurance. The allocation of the allocatable funds to the multiple accounts is determined based on a priority hierarchy set to the multiple accounts. Funds are allocated such that each account or sub-account in the priority hierarchy is filled to its respective limit according to the respective deposit rules until the total amount of allocatable funds is allocated.

  • Publication number: 20130025573
Abstract: A method of operating an engine comprises introducing into a cylinder volume a non-compression-combustible fuel, such as natural gas, a compression-combustible fuel, such as diesel, and an oxidant and mixing the components for greater than about 275 microseconds, prior to compression combusting the compression-combustible fuel. The mixing may be done such that the two fuels are at least partially homogenized in the cylinder volume. By mixing, or premixing, the two fuels prior to combustion, the compression-combustible fuel is then simultaneously combusted via compression at multiple ignition points in the volume. The second, non-compression-combustible fuel is ignited in response to the combustion of the first fuel. An engine that enables the various methods is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20130030431
Abstract: A catheter comprises an elongated carrier and a balloon about the carrier in sealed relation thereto. The balloon is arranged to receive a fluid therein that inflates the balloon and has an inner surface. The catheter further includes a shock wave generator asymmetrically located within the balloon with respect to the inner surface of the balloon that forms a mechanical shock wave within the balloon. Because the shock wave generator is asymmetrically located within the balloon with respect to the inner surface of the balloon, each shock wave will impact the inner surface of the balloon in a non-uniform manner to prevent the hoop stress of the balloon from being exceeded.
