  • Patent number: 11604587
Abstract: A computing device includes an interface configured to interface and communicate with a dispersed storage network (DSN), a memory that stores operational instructions, and a processing module operably coupled to the interface and memory such that the processing module, when operable within the computing device based on the operational instructions, is configured to perform various operations. The computing device receives, from another computing device, a vault provisioning request and processes the vault provisioning request to determine whether the other computing device is authorized to request provisioning of another vault within the DSN. When the other computing device is authorized, the computing device generates a vault within the DSN in response to the vault provisioning request from the other computing device and updates access control information within the DSN to include an initial access control for the vault and an identifier of the other computing device.

  • Patent number: 11605187
Abstract: Many software applications include collaborative tools. However, such collaboration tools are more complex in graphics applications, than within word processing for example, as the application includes a diverse portfolio of drawing functions to create/edit an object where editing selecting the drawing function and/or amending a parameter may require navigating multiple levels of menus and displays. A reviewer, collaborator etc. may be unfamiliar with the graphics application to make any amendments whilst the user receiving collaborator comments may be unfamiliar with how to implement suggested amendments. Accordingly, it would be beneficial to provide collaborators with a tool supporting natural language input that parses the collaborators natural language, identifies an associated drawing function, and provides the drawing function which may parameters to edit.

  • Patent number: 11604179
Abstract: A system and method for testing a gas sensor with a test gas and that recovers the test gas after testing. The test gas is stored in a test gas source, and delivered to the gas sensor through a supply circuit. After the test is completed, gas is withdrawn from the supply circuit into a recycle circuit. A compressor in the recycle circuit pulls the test gas into the recycle circuit, pressurizes the test gas and discharges the pressurized test gas back into the test gas source. Valves are in the supply and recycle circuits, which when selectively opened and closed changes between testing and recycle configurations. The recycle flow is filtered to prevent air and other non-test gas substances from being introduced into the test gas source.

  • Patent number: 11604769
Abstract: The present technology pertains to synchronizing contents of a directory external to a synchronized directory by a content management system. The content management system is configured to synchronize only objects in the synchronized directory. Accordingly, the present technology creates an anchor object that represents the directory external to the synchronized directory within the synchronized directory. The anchor object includes special attributes that indicate to the synchronization client that the anchor object represents an external directory, and allows the contents of that directory to be synchronized directly to a server on the content management system without first storing the contents of the external directory on the hard drive of the client device.

  • Patent number: 11606208
Abstract: Techniques of keyless authentication of computing services in distributed computing systems are disclosed herein. One example technique includes upon receiving a command to instantiate a computing service, transmitting a request to an authentication service for an identity assertion token corresponding to an application execution of which instantiates the computing service. The example technique can also include upon receiving the requested identity assertion token, storing the received identity assertion token in the container and modifying an entry of a configuration file in the container that allows the instantiated computing service to access the stored identity assertion token and authenticate to the authentication service using the identity assertion token.

  • Patent number: 11604903
Abstract: In one embodiment, a design application is provided that utilizes layered analytical modeling in a design and analysis workflow. An analytical model may be described in a model file by a base geometry and a plurality of analysis parameters, including modification geometries that define changes that can be made to the base geometry, loading definitions that define how loads are evaluated, and appurtenances groups and configurations that define the nature and arrangement of appurtenances. A user may select analysis parameters which together with the base geometry define a scenario. A plurality of scenarios may be maintained within the same model file. When a particular scenario is to be visualized and analyzed, the analysis parameters of a scenario are layered on to (i.e. merged with) the base geometry.
