  • Publication number: 20200213199
Abstract: A system and method for a self-adapting SDWAN to ensure compliance with client requirements. A SDWAN performance analyzer continuously monitors all of the nodes within an SDWAN, receiving a plurality of operational data regarding operational parameters of each node. Based on the operational data, a machine learning algorithm is applied to develop a tree-structure representative of a desired network configuration, based on the real-time state of the network, to ensure compliance with client requirements. The SDWAN performance analyzer can generate configuration commands to send to one or more of the nodes in the SDWAN to reconfigure the operational parameters of the nodes in line with the desired network configuration.

  • Publication number: 20200212970
Abstract: Various embodiments disclosed herein provide for an enhanced timing advance scheme to support MU-MIMO in an integrated access and backhaul system. The timing advance scheme disclosed herein aligns the arrival time between backhaul links and access links to enable MU-MIMO gain at the receiver side. In the integrated access and backhaul system, which comprises distributed nodes, the timing advance offset for an access link transmission (a transmission to a node further away in hops from the core network, or to a user equipment device) can be modified by offsetting it with the timing advance of the backhaul link (e.g., from a parent node). This enables the arrival time for transmissions, both access link transmissions from the UE or child node, and backhaul link transmissions from a parent node to arrive at the same time.

  • Publication number: 20200213374
Abstract: This invention concerns the transmitting and receiving of digital media packets, such as audio and video channels and lighting instructions. In particular, the invention concerns the transmitting and receiving of redundant media packet streams. Samples are extracted from a first and second media packet stream. The extracted samples are written to a buffer based on the output time of each sample. Extracted samples having the same output time are written to the same location in the buffer. Both media packet streams are simply processed all the way to the buffer without any particular knowledge that one of the packet streams is actually redundant. This simplifies the management of the redundant packet streams, such as eliminating the need for a “fail-over” switch and the concept of an “active stream”, The location is the storage space allocated to store one sample.

  • Publication number: 20200213003
Abstract: An improved technique for acoustic sensing involves, in one embodiment, launching into a medium, a plurality of groups of pulse-modulated electromagnetic-waves. The frequency of electromagnetic waves in a pulse within a group differs from the frequency of the electromagnetic waves in another pulse within the group. The energy scattered by the medium is detected and, in one embodiment, may be used to determine a characteristic of the environment of the medium. For example, if the medium is a buried optical fiber into which light pulses have been launched in accordance with the invention, the presence of acoustic waves within the region of the buried fiber can be detected.
