  • Publication number: 20240153648
Abstract: A computational evidence platform extracts clinical concepts from medical evidence sources and creates a database of elemental diagnostic factors and elemental investigations links to medical conditions. Input from a person groups factors and investigations makes corrections and adds a ranking Elemental factors and investigations do not include information specific to their associated conditions but include synonyms and a link to a medical ontology. A patient state is determined by extracting patient known diagnostic factors and investigation results from the patient chart. These known factors and results are matched to the database and a ranking of likely conditions are output. Next-best actions per condition are output by determining factors not yet known and investigations not yet performed. Next-best actions across conditions are determined by performing a recursive tree search of the database and assuming that unknown factors are now known to generate a score for each assumption.

  • Patent number: 8538990
Abstract: Methods and apparatus, including computer program products, implementing and using techniques for resolving cell-level access in a multi-dimensional data structure based on one or more sets of dimensional access rules. A business hierarchy is provided with nodes arranged in a tree structure. An online analytical processing database has several data cubes, where at least some have the business hierarchy as one of their dimensions. One or more rule-based access tables are provided for controlling access to cells of each data cube. Groups of nodes with identical access settings are identified in the business hierarchy. A single access block is generated per node group. Each access block is a serializable access specification object that contains information for generating a complete cell-level mask of access settings for a single node of the business hierarchy. The mask is generated based on the information in the access blocks for each node in the hierarchy.

  • Patent number: 6422120
Abstract: A firing mechanism for a rotary machine gun is disclosed. The machine gun includes a housing that rotatably mounts a rotor assembly. The rotor assembly is configured to receive a plurality of ammunition rounds and includes a plurality of firing pins. The firing mechanism includes a percussion system that is disposed on the housing and operates to engage each of the firing pins as the rotor assembly rotates. The percussion system delivers a mechanical force to one of the plurality of ammunition rounds. The firing mechanism further includes an electrical contact that is connected to an electrical power source. The electrical contact is disposed in the housing to contact each of the firing pins as the rotor assembly rotates and to deliver electrical energy to the one ammunition round.

  • Patent number: 4075966
Abstract: A spring biased snap hook having a body fabricated from a developed sheet metal blank. The body has a pair of recessed areas extending inwardly from one edge thereof and this one edge also includes locking member receiving areas spaced longitudinally therealong. An elongated locking member is received in these receiving areas and is longitudinally movable along the one body edge between a first position blocking access to both recess areas and a second position providing access to one of the recessed areas. A spring bias continuously urges the locking member toward the first position. A handle or keeper member is releasably affixed to the outermost end of the locking member to retain this member in operable association with the body. Removal of the handle or keeper permits the locking member to be moved longitudinally along the one body edge in a direction opposite to the movement thereof from the first to the second position in order to provide selective access to the other of the recess areas.
