Abstract: An example methodology includes, by a container hosted on a computing device, receiving a request to access the container, the request including a temporary username and password and an access group to which a user associated with the request belongs. The method also includes, by the container, creating a temporary user credentials based on the temporary username and password, adding the user to the container, mapping the access group passed with the request to an equivalent predefined access group within the container, and assigning the user to the equivalent predefined access group, wherein the predefined access group within the container specifies permissions to be granted to the user. The method further includes, by the container, providing access to the container based on the temporary user credentials and the equivalent predefined access group and sending a response to the request, the response including information about the provided access to the container.

Abstract: An example methodology includes declaring a node in a cluster of multiple nodes as a lead node to perform a cluster upgrade. While the lead node is performing the upgrade operations, the remaining nodes in the cluster continue to provide the cluster services. The upgrade operations on the lead node include migrating applications on the lead node to one of the other nodes in the cluster and performing upgrade of the lead node. In some cases, the upgrade operations include rebooting the lead node with a new OS image and installing new versions of the applications or re-installing the same applications on the lead node. The upgrade operations on the lead node may also include, once the lead node is upgraded, stopping applications and cluster services on the other nodes in the cluster, creating a new cluster that includes the lead node, and starting the applications on the lead node.

Abstract: A method, comprising: receiving, by an agent that is executing in a first guest operating system, a request to mount a storage partition; detecting, by the agent, whether the storage partition is identified in a read-only list; when the storage partition is identified in the read-only list, setting the storage partition as read-only at a block level, and mounting the storage partition in the first guest operating system as a read-only volume; and when the storage partition is not identified in the read-only list, mounting the storage partition in the first guest operating system as a read-write volume and updating the read-only list to include an identifier of the storage partition.
