  • Publication number: 20070068980
Abstract: The present invention provides a new and useful clothes protector cover comprised of a rectangular left sheet, a rectangular right sheet, and a plurality of grommets located on the upper edge of each of the sheets. A clothes hanger, upon which an item of clothing may already be hung, is threaded through a grommet on the left sheet and a corresponding grommet on the right sheet and hung on the hanger bar. This is repeated throughout the length of the sheets until all items of clothing are hung on the hanger rod and thereby protected by the clothes protector cover. This provides a means by which the clothes protector cover is held in place immediately above the protected items of clothing and thereby prevents the accumulation or settling of dust on the items of clothing.

  • Publication number: 20070070978
Abstract: A method for accessing content according to a location within a defined geographical area. The area is defined (104) by those areas covered by selected nodes of one or more networks. Data representing the identities of the selected nodes or of the defined geographical area is then provided (110) to authorised receivers, for example via a Smart Card or the Internet. Corresponding data is broadcast (112) to locations within the defined geographical area The receiver at such a location permits access (124) to content based on a comparison (122) of the provided and received data. The content may be stored locally on physical media or obtained remotely via a network.

  • Publication number: 20070069142
Abstract: Effective sensitivity of a photodetector of an image sensor is controlled by partitioning signal charge from incident photons, thus producing a manageable yield and a consequently higher, photon shot noise limited, signal to noise ratio than in the prior art, when imaging high flux rates of energetic photons or particles, such as produced by x-ray generators. The invention may be applied, for example, to an image sensor with a photosensitive layer coupled to a charge collection/readout structure, e.g. photoconductor or scintillator on CMOS array, or to an intrinsically sensitive charge collection/readout structure, e.g. deep active layer CMOS.

  • Patent number: 7195343
Abstract: A micro-fluid ejection device structure and method therefor having improved low energy design. The devices includes a semiconductor substrate and an insulating layer deposited on the semiconductor substrate. A plurality of heater resistors are formed on the insulating layer from a resistive layer selected from the group consisting of TaAl, Ta2N, TaAl(O,N), TaAlSi, Ti(N,O), WSi(O,N), TaAlN, and TaAl/TaAlN. A sacrificial layer selected from an oxidizable metal and having a thickness ranging from about 500 to about 5000 Angstroms is deposited on the plurality of heater resistors. Electrodes are formed on the sacrificial layer from a first metal conductive layer to provide anode and cathode connections to the plurality of heater resistors. The sacrificial layer is oxidized in a plasma oxidation process to provide a fluid contact layer on the plurality of heater resistors.

  • Patent number: 7195203
Abstract: A simplified structure for a wing skin and wing box wherein the internal surface (2) of an aircraft wing skin panel (1) in the wing box includes a multiplicity of strips (3), each strip being associated with a stringer. The strips (3) have different gradients in the span-wise direction S, which is the direction in which the strips extend. The surface of each strip is, in the chord-wise direction C, parallel to the external surface (5). At a junction, at which a rib meets a stringer, the interior surface (2) has an area (4a) that is parallel to the exterior surface (5), such that the rib and stringer at that junction may be simply attached to the wing skin panel (1).

  • Patent number: 7195066
Abstract: The weight of a shaped charge carrier is predetermined as a buoyancy control parameter for perforating guns. Each charge carrier comprises a co-axial assembly of inner and outer carrier units. Both carrier units may be fabricated from low density metals or composite materials comprising high strength fibers in a polymer matrix. The outer carrier wall thickness may be a weight control parameter. Shaped charge units having no independent casement are formed into sockets within a light-weight inner carrier unit. Alternatively, the shaped charge units may be formed within light-weight material cases and seated within sockets in the light-weight inner carrier unit. Materials and dimensions are selected to substantially achieve the desired carrier buoyancy in the specific well fluid whereby a perforating gun assembled from a plurality of the carriers may be substantially floated into a completion position and allowed to settle along the floor or ceiling of the wellbore as predetermined by the perforation direction.

  • Patent number: 7195062
Abstract: This invention provides a measurement-while-drilling (MWD) downhole assembly for use in drilling boreholes which utilizes directional formation evaluation devices on a rotating assembly in conjunction with toolface orientation sensors. The data from the toolface orientation sensors are analyzed by a processor and toolface angle measurements are determined at defined intervals. Formation evaluation sensors operate substantially independently of the toolface orientation sensors and measurements of the formation evaluation sensors are analyzed in combination with the determined toolface angle to obtain formation parameters.

  • Patent number: 7196627
Abstract: Processing a module packaged within a container involves securely affixing a tag comprising a tag memory and a tag communication element to the container. While the module is enclosed in the container, information pertaining to the module is selectively stored in the tag memory for later readout and processing. A container for enclosing a module includes an electronic tag having a tag memory and a tag communication element. The tag communication element is adapted to receive information from a source, and the tag memory stores that information. While the module is packaged in the container, either first module information or second module information is stored in the tag memory. The module information pertains to the subsequent use of the module. The electronic tag is embedded in the container material, or securely affixed to the container. The electronic tag may span a container opening so that the tag is damaged upon opening the container, providing security against improper re-use.

  • Publication number: 20070066926
Abstract: A pad of elastomeric material having a softness of typically no more than about durometer 50 Shore 00. The pad may carry adhesive and/or a housing for adhering the pad to a surface, either manually, or by adhesive tape, or another strap. Such a pad exhibits hemostatic and leak prevention properties against needle puncture holes in the skin or the wall of a hollow medical device. Particularly, hemostasis may be prevented with low pressure application of the pad to the skin. The pad may be previously applied to the skin of the patient or a wall of a medical device such as tubing or a solution bag, and the needle may then penetrate both the pad and the skin or medical device wall, to make a resealable puncture with leakage reduction and hemostasis when the needle is withdrawn.
