  • Publication number: 20250093357
Abstract: A method for enhancing gating performance of a cell sorter to prepare an enriched specimen for optical tomography cell analysis includes introducing a specimen into a FACS to generate 2D event data; generating a first scatterplot of the 2D data; identifying target objects; constructing a boundary within the first scatterplot to produce a first gate; counting target objects within the first gate; comparing the number of target objects within the first gate to a first predetermined value and adjusting the first gate as necessary. A boundary around a set of target objects is constructed in a second scatterplot to produce a subset second gate and target objects within the second gate are counted and the count compared to a second predetermined value. When a boundary around target objects meets specifications the first and second gates are stored in memory and used to enrich patient specimens.

  • Publication number: 20250092846
Abstract: A dual heating process is performed in the absence of an open flame. Heat is created by a rotating prime mover(s) driving a fluid shear heater. Heat is also collected from a cooling system of the prime mover, and from any exhaust heat generated by the prime mover. The heat energy collected from all of these sources is transmitted through heat exchangers to a fluid where heat energy is desired. The fluid being heated may be glycol or air, depending on the type of heat desired.

  • Publication number: 20250084959
Abstract: A telescoping leg includes a leg tube, a leg, a knee, and a locking mechanism. The leg is shaped and sized to slide within the leg tube, and has a linear array of holes. The knee is between the leg tube and the leg, at least partially surrounds an end of the leg tube from which the leg extends. The locking mechanism is located at a knee aperture of the knee, and includes a locating pin having a tip extending through the locking-mechanism and a spring that applies a force on the locating pin. When the locating pin is aligned with a hole and the spring is not subject to an externally-applied force, the tip extends into the tapered hole and mates with an interior surface of the hole to secure a position of the leg within the leg tube. The tip and the hole may be correspondingly tapered.
