  • Patent number: 11781579
Abstract: A blind bolt extends through a hole which extends through a first and second member. An anchor is disposed on the distal end of a blind bolt shaft, and the anchor has expanded and contracted configurations. An anchor is disposed on the distal end on a shaft and is positioned beyond the distal end of the hole engaging a surface of the second member thereby holding the shaft in the hole. A shear sleeve is disposed on the blind bolt proximate to the distal end of the shaft and has a length sufficient to extend across the second member, across the interface between the first and second members and partially across the first member. A nut is threaded on the threads of the shaft, and a collapsible cylinder is disposed on the blind bolt shaft between the sheer sleeve and nut.

  • Patent number: 11574071
Abstract: A target device stores secure information and one or more security tools configured to protect against unauthorized access of the secure information. A first database stores profiles for each of a set of predefined attack groups. Each profile includes a set of attack techniques used by the corresponding attack group and, for each attack technique, a corresponding set of mitigations. A second database stores control policies. Each control policy is associated with a set of security tools that protect against unauthorized access of the secure information stored by the target device. A controls monitor determines an attack controls superset based on the profiles and control policies. A controls health dashboard receives a user query and provides a representation of a portion of the attack controls superset that is associated with the received query.

  • Patent number: 11421722
Abstract: A blind bolt and tool is used for fastening a bolt through a hole in a structure when only one side of the structure is accessible. A receiver is formed on the tip end of a bolt shaft opposite from a bolt head. Internal threads are formed within the receiver proximate an outward end, and a hex socket is formed in the inward end of the receiver. External threads and a guide are formed on a tip of the tool, and the external threads mate with the internal threads in the receiver to hold the bolt during installation. A hex key on one end of the tool engages the hex socket in the receiver so that the tool may impose a torque on the bolt when a nut is being tightened on the bolt. In another embodiment, a splined tip is formed on the end of the bolt. The tip is designed to shear off when a sufficient torque is applied. Also, a shim is configured to fit between structures held together by the blind bolt.

  • Patent number: 9856900
Abstract: A step bolt connector and bolt assembly creates steps on a structure for accommodating a worker's boot. A first threaded bore is formed in a cylindrical end of a step bolt connector and this first threaded bore is threaded onto an exposed bolt on a structure. A sight hole extends from the exterior of the connector to the inward end of the first threaded bore for visually checking to see if the bolt is adequately attached in the first bore. A recess is formed in the cylindrical end and the recess is dimensioned to fit over fastening nut on the exposed bolt on the structure. When the first threaded bore is screwed onto the exposed bolts on the structure, the recess at least partially surrounds shields and protects the fastening nut on the exposed end of the bolt. A second threaded bore is formed in a second end (a truncated conical end) of the connector, and a step bolt is secured in the second threaded bore.

  • Patent number: 9574598
Abstract: A split nut and assembly steps for fitting the nut around an exposed portion of anchor bolt having no convenient access for conventional nuts to engage. The split nut includes first and second nut halves, and each nut half has an interior surface having a threaded half cylinder that, when aligned with the other threaded half cylinder and joined along joining surfaces, forms a threaded opening. The two half nuts may be connected by connectors that are inserted into penetrations that extend through at least a portion of both half nuts. At least one end of the penetration extends from the joining surface through the exterior surface of the half nut so that the connector may be inserted into the penetration. The exterior surface of both half nuts also include flat that, when the half nuts are joined, are dimensioned to form opposed parallel drive surfaces configured to be engaged by a wrench for screwing the split nut onto the bolt.

  • Patent number: 9460105
Abstract: A file system is disclosed that includes an application wide name space instantiated in a global index (Gindex) that is used for accessing objects related to an application. Summary workload statistics are monitored and calculated via a calibrated hierarchical service level agreement (SLA) in a method of operation that includes: establishing a tenant wide name space used for accessing objects of an application stored in physical file systems across one or more appliances, each defining a storage cluster, in association with a tenant logically spanning across the appliances; and monitoring a performance statistic for the application across the tenant.

  • Publication number: 20140310040
Abstract: One embodiment of the invention, directed to a computer implemented method in a computer system comprising at least one component, includes the step of responsive to detecting a problem in the system, generating a set of crowdsourcing tasks for analyzing a first possible cause of the detected problem. The method further includes the steps of assigning the set of crowdsourcing tasks to one or more selected crowdsourcing experts, and using information derived at least in part from task results provided by one or more crowdsourcing experts to compute a problem completeness (PC) index. Responsive to determining that the first possible cause is not the root cause of the detected problem, the PC Index is used to determine whether to assign one or more additional crowdsourcing tasks to any crowdsourcing experts.
