  • Patent number: 11841404
Abstract: An atomic magnetometer, and a method for using same is disclosed. The method for measuring an ambient magnetic field uses an atomic magnetometer that has a probe light beam with a probe axis that probes a polarization vector of an atomic population confined within a vapor cell. The method employs one or more measurement cycles. In each measurement cycle, the polarization vector is prepared in an initial state via an optical pumping pulse. The vapor cell is then subjected to the ambient magnetic field, which results in rotation of the polarization vector by Larmor precession. Within the measurement cycle, at a point in time after the polarization vector has been prepared in the initial state, the ambient magnetic field rotates the direction of the polarization vector, and at least one measurement is made of a projection of the Larmor-rotated polarization vector onto the probe axis during or after application of a magnetic waveform.

  • Publication number: 20230390911
Abstract: A universal chisel attachment is an apparatus designed to convert the torque generated by an electric tool into a reciprocal linear motion to drive a chisel member. The apparatus includes a socket adapter, a chisel assembly, a hammering cam mechanism, and a tubular housing. The socket adapter enables the rotational connection of the hammering cam mechanism to a mounting mechanism of the electric tool. The socket adapter also enables the apparatus to be secured to the electric tool. The hammering cam mechanism converts the torque generated by the electric tool to a reciprocal linear motion of the chisel assembly. The chisel assembly enables the carving or cutting of the target object with the apparatus. The tubular housing enables the unobstructed operation of the hammering cam mechanism during operation. The tubular housing also safely retains all the moving components of the hammering cam mechanism to protect the user during operation.

  • Patent number: 11836372
Abstract: Content is captured and archived at an archive center (AC) and, depending upon records management (RM) policy, is managed by the AC or under RM control by a content server (CS). Both the AC and CS may be part of an enterprise content management system. The AC provides a user-friendly interface through which retention zones may be defined, and functionality for applying RM policy. The functionality can be triggered via a specific content property or through a retention zone under RM control. The RM control can be turned on or off from within the AC using the user-friendly interface. Archived content is not moved or duplicated. Rather, metadata and a link to the storage location are sent to the CS which, in turn, creates a content server document that is linked to the archived content. Only a portion of archived content is exposed to the CS through the AC.

  • Patent number: 11834829
Abstract: Brick or block walls are often constructed before fixtures, such as faucets, are installed. Sometimes this occurs because the fixture has not yet been selected, or because an installation location for the fixture is unknown. Thus, workers often need to modify the wall to receive fixtures once selected. However, other times, a builder may know where a fixture should be installed, and the type of fixture it will be. In these instances, a fixture-ready block may be selected based on the type and location of the fixture and installed at the proper location when the wall is built. The block may have apertures with dimensions selected based on a fixture that will be installed in the block. This may eliminate the need to drill or bore through the wall after it is finished in order to install the fixture.
