Abstract: Apparatus and methods to communicate audio data from either an active wireless device or a requesting wireless device to one or more audio reproduction devices that are simultaneously communicatively coupled to both the active wireless device and to the requesting wireless device are disclosed. Responsive to a request from the requesting wireless device to transmit audio data to the one or more audio reproduction devices, the active wireless device determines whether to transmit audio data from the requesting wireless device based at least in part on an audio status of the active wireless device and a set of predetermined arbitration criteria that prioritizes among applications and operating system processes that generate the audio data.

  • Publication number: 20180199847
Abstract: A method of mapping arrhythmic activity, such as premature ventricular contraction (“PVC”) activity, using an electroanatomical mapping system includes defining at least two arrhythmia template signals. Electrophysiology data points, each including an electrophysiological signal, are collected. A morphological similarity between the electrophysiological signal and a first arrhythmia template signal is computed; if this exceeds a preset threshold, then the electrophysiology data point is added to a corresponding arrhythmia map. If it does not, a morphological similarity between the electrophysiological signal and a second arrhythmia template signal is computed. If this exceeds the preset threshold, then the electrophysiology data point is added to a corresponding arrhythmia map. If neither exceeds the preset threshold, then the electrophysiology data point can be used to establish an additional arrhythmia map by defining an additional arrhythmia template signal.

  • Publication number: 20180200643
Abstract: A compact and portable liquid concentrator includes a gas inlet, a gas exit and a flow corridor connecting the gas inlet and the gas exit, wherein the flow corridor includes a narrowed portion that accelerates the gas through the flow corridor. A liquid inlet injects liquid into the gas stream at a point prior to the narrowed portion so that the gas-liquid mixture is thoroughly mixed within the flow corridor, causing a portion of the liquid to be evaporated. A demister or fluid scrubber downstream of the narrowed portion removes entrained liquid droplets from the gas stream and re-circulates the removed liquid to the liquid inlet through a re-circulating circuit. A source of low energy gas, such as low pressure steam from a power plant, is connected to the liquid to be concentrated to heat the liquid to be concentrated before or during the concentration process.

  • Publication number: 20180203898
Abstract: Disclosed aspects relate to transforming a user-defined table function (UDTF) to a derived table in a database management system (DBMS). It may be detected by the DBMS that a query indicates the UDTF. A derived table may be constructed from the UDTF. The derived table may be derived from a set of statements of the UDTF. The derived table may be introduced to the query to fulfill the UDTF. A query plan may be generated for the query by the DBMS. The query plan may be generated in response to introducing the derived table in the query.

  • Publication number: 20180205754
Abstract: A security system can provide monitoring and vulnerability testing of networks within a vehicle and perform patching or take other remedial action when vulnerabilities are found. Monitoring can comprise maintaining and enforcing security policies on use of the networks of the vehicle, performing anti-virus and/or anti-malware monitoring and/or scanning on messages and use of the networks of the vehicle, monitoring in real-time for certain conditions or on certain aspects of operation of the networks, or performing one or more of a number of different types of automated vulnerability scans on the networks of the vehicle. Patching or take other remedial action can comprise, blocking access to one or more of the networks of the vehicle by an application, component, user, etc. when a threat is detected or a vulnerability is found, reporting a detected threat or vulnerability, obtaining and applying a patch or automatically taking other corrective action as needed.

  • Publication number: 20180206347
Abstract: A polymer film is applied onto a surface of a laminated printed circuit board subassembly having vias. Holes are created in the polymer film to access the vias while the polymer film remains covering adjacent areas. The polymer film with holes allows placement of hole-fill paste in the vias while preventing unwanted hole-fill paste placement or migration to adjacent areas. After filling the vias with hole-fill paste, the hole-fill paste is preferably at least partially hardened or cured, and the polymer film is preferably removed, facilitating further assembly of a printed circuit board without unwanted hole-fill paste in other areas which could be difficult to remove, The invention includes improved processes for fabricating printed circuit boards, and is particularly useful for irregular circuit boards and rigid flex circuit boards. The invention also includes covered laminated printed circuit board subassemblies, covered with a removable polymer film.

  • Publication number: 20180203748
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to techniques for processing messages at an enterprise service bus in a distributed computing system. An example method generally includes receiving, at an enterprise service bus, a first message. The enterprise service bus uses a preprocessing agent to identify a message fragment, compute a hash value of the message fragment, and using the hash value as a key, to receive an existing parse tree from a cache. A parsing agent generates a message parse tree representing the first message, where the message parse tree incorporates the existing parse tree to represent the message fragment portion of the first message. A transforming agent generates a second message from the message parse tree where the second message has different format from the first message, the transforming agent transmits the second message to a receiving system.
