  • Publication number: 20240147245
Abstract: A method for adaptive presence-based radio configuration of access points in a venue includes defining a number of regions in the venue in which access points are deployed, each region having a center point, and assigning a first access point to a first region, positioned at the center of the first region. The method also includes affecting a first energy level in the first region, which corresponds to a power of a transmit signal emitted by the first access point, and assigning to the first region a configurable capacity value that determines an acceptable overlap constraint between the first energy level of the first region and an energy level of a neighboring region. The method further includes generating data describing a tessellation graph in which a possible map of the access points is formed using an iterative descent process based on the first energy level and the overlap constraint.

  • Publication number: 20240120201
Abstract: A technique for selective-area diffusion doping of III-N epitaxial material layers and for fabricating power device structures utilizing this technique. Dopant species such as Mg are introduced into the III-N material layer and are diffused into the III-N material by annealing under stable or metastable conditions. The dopant species can be introduced via deposition of a metal or alloy layer containing such species using sputtering, e-beam evaporation or other technique known to those skilled in the art. The dopant material layer is capped with a thermally stable layer to prevent decomposition and out-diffusion, and then is annealed under stable or metastable conditions to diffuse the dopant into the III-N material GaN without decomposing the surface.

  • Publication number: 20240112433
Abstract: Systems and methods for calibrating an adaptive illumination system of an imager are presented. An example method includes causing the system to enter a calibration mode and providing a calibration illumination level from an illumination source to an environment. An imager captures one or more images of the environment. A processor determines, from the one or more images, a first illumination intensity to provide during an object detect mode operation of the system. The first illumination intensity has an illumination sufficient for detecting a presence of an object in the environment during the object detect mode. The processor stores the first illumination intensity in a memory, and configures the illumination source to provide illumination at the first illumination intensity while the adaptive illumination system is in the object detect mode, and (ii) provide illumination at a second illumination intensity while the adaptive illumination system is in a scanning mode.
