Patent number: 10664535Abstract: A log data service is described for a multi-tenant environment that allows customers to access system, application and custom log files associated with virtual machine instances that are executing. In some embodiments, log data can be received that includes events or messages from virtual machines in the multi-tenant environment. The log data can be transformed into metric data, which can be used to generate statistics, graphs, and generally monitor the customer's virtual machine instances. Once a customer has started monitoring log files, the customer can be notified that an actionable condition can exist, such as an alarm condition wherein metrics exceeded acceptable limits. A customer can interactively select a timeframe of a metric and request that the log data that generated the metric be presented on the display. An automated system retrieves the source-level log data in real-time upon receiving a request from a user.Type: GrantFiled: February 2, 2015Date of Patent: May 26, 2020Assignee: Amazon Technologies, Inc.Inventor: Henry David Hahn

Patent number: 7636897Abstract: An improved system and method for focus navigation behavior specification in a user interface is provided. To this end, an application may include declarations that may associate a focus navigation resource with a user interface object and a focus navigation behavior may be dynamically selected for changing the input focus in the user interface. A focus navigation engine may be provided for applying a number of focus navigation behaviors for moving input focus within and among logical groups of user interface objects. A visual representation of the user interface objects with the applied focus navigation behavior may be generated and a display representation may be rendered for presentation on a user interface display.Type: GrantFiled: November 19, 2004Date of Patent: December 22, 2009Assignee: Microsoft CorporationInventors: Atanas Georgiev Koralski, Henry David Hahn, Sundaram Ramani

Patent number: 7631278Abstract: A system and method for improved directional focus navigation in a user interface is provided. The directional focus navigation engine may receive directional input for changing the input focus of a user interface object in the user interface. A target candidate selector may select target candidates in a direction of travel among one or more user interface objects for receiving the input focus. A target candidate scorer may score the target candidates selected and the directional focus navigation engine may change the input focus to user interface object based upon the scoring. Scoring the target candidates may be biased when navigation continues in the same traversal direction for changing input focus.Type: GrantFiled: November 19, 2004Date of Patent: December 8, 2009Assignee: Microsoft CorporationInventors: Jan T. Publication number: 20060247608Abstract: A laser-based refractive surgery system includes a laser source including a laser controller, wherein at least a portion of the incident beam is directed to target eye tissue of a patient. The incident beam portion produces a reflected beam after striking the eye tissue. The system includes at least one detector for detecting the reflected beam. A computer or data processor is communicably coupled to the detector and the laser controller. The computer or data processor generates a cross-correlation function using a plurality of discrete points which digitally represent a waveform representation of the reflected beam and a plurality of reference points. The reference points are preferably associated with a digital representation of the incident beam. The laser controller receives and utilizes the cross-correlation function or parameter derived therefrom, or the ablation rate, and adjusts at least one operating parameter of the laser beam in real-time during a refractive procedure.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 29, 2005Publication date: November 2, 2006Inventors: David Hahn, Brian Fisher

Patent number: 6932116Abstract: A reinforced liner for cured in place pipe rehabilitation of an existing pipeline having a plurality of high-strength low-elongation fiber bundles disposed circumferentially around the tubular liner at both inner and outer surfaces of a resin absorbent layer of the liner is provided. The bundles of reinforcing fibers are continuous lengths of high modulus fibers laid circumferentially with the ability to stretch to accommodate variations in host pipe diameter. The ends of reinforcing fibers on the inner and outer reinforcing layers overlap so that the ends slide past each other as the liner is expanded prior to cure. The reinforcing fibers may be secured to a porous scrim to form an inner tubular reinforcing layer. An outer layer of bundles of reinforcing fiber are formed into a tube about the absorbent layer. An outer impermeable tubular layer is wrapped around the inner layers.Type: GrantFiled: March 23, 2004Date of Patent: August 23, 2005Assignee: Insituform (Netherlands) B.V.Inventors: E. Patent number: 4632319Abstract: An electric device, for example a shredder, comprises a cutter mounted on a base and driven by an electric motor, the cutter being concealed by a removable feed chute. A plug connector of a cord set is movably secured to the feed chute, and is moved towards and away from the feed chute to plug it with and unplug it from a plug connector of the motor. The plugging together of the plug connectors prevents removal of the feed chute; it being necessary to unplug the connectors to disconnect electrical supply to the motor by moving the cord set plug connector outwardly of the base before the feed chute can be removed to expose the cutter. Preferably, the cord set has incompatible plug connectors at each end to prevent a normal extension cord being plugged to said motor plug connector when said feed chute is removed.Type: GrantFiled: August 12, 1985Date of Patent: December 30, 1986Assignee: Black & Decker Inc.Inventors: Gerald Schlund, Leonhard Hagedorn, A.
