  • Patent number: 11944742
Abstract: A method for veterinary administration of medication to an animal, particularly a horse, is disclosed. The method involves inserting a capsule containing the medication, which is a liquid formulation, into a device connected to a tubular chamber. An atomizer is activated to atomize the medication, producing atomized medication. Before administration, a force is applied to a mask placed over the animal's muzzle, connected to the chamber. The atomized medication is then delivered to the animal. The liquid formulation, in some instances, comprises cells, cellular byproducts, or cell-derived products such as stem cells or products from human mesenchymal stem cells. This formulation may lack preservatives and may encompass peptides, proteins, growth factors, cytokines, exosomes, and extracellular vesicles. The delivery mechanism may involve deflating an air bladder to convey the atomized medication.

  • Patent number: 11941427
Abstract: A network device can include packet processing circuitry to provide support for virtual functions. The packet processing circuitry can perform operations such as receiving data traffic associated with a physical address, determining that the data traffic is associated with a guest of a host system by matching the data traffic with an ingress rule associated with a virtual function, and forwarding the data traffic to the virtual function.

  • Patent number: 11936181
Abstract: A system and method for identifying an earth fault in a resonant grounded medium voltage network that employs a REFCL compensation system. The method derives a zero-sequence real power from a phase voltage to ground on each phase and a current on each phase and aligns the zero-sequence real power in time with a magnitude of a zero-sequence voltage provided by the REFCL compensation system. The method determines when the zero-sequence real power and the zero-sequence voltage exceed predetermined thresholds. The method delays the magnitude of the zero-sequence voltage for a predetermined period of time when the zero-sequence voltage exceeds the threshold and determines that the fault is occurring when both the time aligned zero-sequence real power exceeds the threshold and the magnitude of the zero-sequence voltage exceeds the threshold for the predetermined period of time at the same time.

  • Patent number: 11925748
Abstract: The invention pertains to a capsule system for use with a medical device designed to administer atomized medication to patients. The system features a chamber containing the medication and an atomizer at a lower end for efficient drug delivery. Notably, the system incorporates a fluid sensor and electrical contacts to ensure proper operation and medication delivery. The capsule's design includes a housing with an asymmetrical transverse cross-sectional shape for unique fitting, and a tapered wall to direct medication towards the atomizer. The capsule may also connect to an external container or include a stopper for refilling medication. A specific embodiment features two chambers with a rupturing element to facilitate medication transfer. Another embodiment includes a removable container, like a vial, within the first chamber. This novel system provides improvements in accuracy, versatility, and user-friendliness, overcoming limitations in prior art.

  • Patent number: 11728638
Abstract: A control system and method for tie point fault interrupter and sectionalizing recloser devices in an electrical grid feeder. The technique enables automated sectionalizing reclosers equipped with three-phase current sensing and single- or three-phase voltage sensing, and able to detect pulse-closing operations, to isolate faults and restore load based on pulse count rather than requiring source re-energization and waiting for loss of voltage timers. The system includes a fault interrupter initiating a pulse-testing sequence upon detecting loss of voltage, where a number of preliminary pulses are used to distinguish transient faults from persistent faults, and pulses are counted by the sectionalizing reclosers to determine which of these devices should open.

  • Publication number: 20230252159
Abstract: Code injection is a type of security vulnerability in which an attacker injects client-side scripts modifying the content being delivered. A sanitizer function may provide defense against such attacks by removing certain characters (e.g., characters causing state transitions in HTML). A string sanitizer may be modeled in order to determine its effectiveness by obtaining data flow information indicating string operations that used an input string or information derived therefrom, including a string sanitizer function. A deterministic finite automata representing string values of the output parameter may be generated based on a graph generated from the data flow information, where the automata accepts possible output string values of the sanitizer. It can be determined whether there is a non-empty intersection between the automata for the sanitizer output and an automata representing a security exploit, which would indicate that the sanitizer function is vulnerable to the exploit.

  • Publication number: 20230177166
Abstract: Embodiments relate to improving accuracy of security vulnerability detection by determining a context of a data flow from a target, generating an exploit, and injecting the exploit based upon the context to create a vulnerable Uniform Resource Locator (URL). The context may comprise a HTML context, a URL context, a JavaScript context, or a JSON context. Communication of the vulnerable URL to a testing platform results in validation of the presence of a security vulnerability. Embodiments may find particular value in detecting vulnerability to a client-side XSS attack, by generating a vulnerable URL containing an exploit that is injected based upon a collected taint flow. Where the target is a website, embodiments improve accuracy of client-side XSS validation exploits by identifying which characters of a URL enter a specific context (e.g., HTML or JavaScript), and replacing these characters with a payload designed to trigger code execution for validation.

  • Patent number: 11656900
Abstract: High-speed processing of packets to, and from, a virtualization environment can be provided while utilizing hardware-based segmentation offload and other such functionality. A hardware vendor such as a network interface card (NIC) manufacturer can enable the hardware to support open and proprietary stateless tunneling in conjunction with a protocol such as single root I/O virtualization (SR-IOV) in order to implement a virtualized overlay network. The hardware can utilize various rules, for example, that can be used by the NIC to perform certain actions, such as to encapsulate egress packets and decapsulate packets.

  • Patent number: 11596791
Abstract: A peripheral nerve stimulator can be used to stimulate a peripheral nerve to treat essential tremor, Parkinsonian tremor, and other forms of tremor. The stimulator can have electrodes that are placed circumferentially around the patient's wrist or arm. Specific nerves in the wrist or arm can be targeted by appropriate spacing of the electrodes. Positioning the electrodes on generally opposing sides of the target nerve can result in improved stimulation of the nerve. The stimulation pattern may alternate between the nerves. Improved stimulation algorithms can incorporate tremor feedback, external data, predictive adaptation, and long-term monitoring data.
