  • Patent number: 9742825
Abstract: Systems and methods for configuring devices are disclosed. One method can comprise receiving an output signal representing user rights relating to a requested data and processing the output signal to generate validation data. The method can also comprise transmitting the validation data to a source of the requested data, wherein the validation data facilitates the transmission of the requested data.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 13, 2013
Date of Patent: August 22, 2017
    Assignee: Comcast Cable Communications, LLC
Inventors: Douglas Will, Joshua Seiden, Thomas Day, Derek Johnson, Shawn Kercher
  • Patent number: 9009756
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to methods and systems for adding or removing virtual channels from a terminal. A controller may send a virtual channel map to one or more terminals. The controller may also send a bitmask to one or more terminals. Each bit of the bitmask may indicate whether a virtual channel should be ignored. The channels that a terminal is permitted to receive may be altered by updating the bitmask.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 13, 2011
Date of Patent: April 14, 2015
    Assignee: Comcast Cable Communications, LLC
    Inventors: Douglas Will, Kenneth Troy

  • Publication number: 20040213741
Abstract: A method for using a microorganism or cell containing a DNA sequence encoding a detectable protein or a protein capable of inducing a detectable signal, e.g., a luminescent or fluorescent protein for the preparation of a diagnostic composition for diagnosis and/or visualization of wounded or inflamed tissue or a disease associated therewith. Further, the microorganism or cell may additionally contain an expressible DNA sequence encoding a protein suitable for therapy, e.g. an enzyme causing cell death or digestion of debris.
