  • Patent number: 11864267
Abstract: This Application describes mechanisms to transfer cellular service plans and associated credentials efficiently between wireless devices. Information regarding transferability of cellular services for SIMs/eSIMs to a wireless device are obtained from locally stored or remotely accessible cellular service information and/or associated mobile network operator (MNO) information. Access to network-based servers to determine transferability and/or to effect transfer can use non-cellular connections when available. Transferability information can be presented to a user to narrow selection of cellular service plans to transfer.

  • Publication number: 20230419757
Abstract: A system and method for locating fitness centers within a user's geographic area and gaining access and redeeming time-based memberships to fitness centers through an integrated mobile computer application via a mobile electronic device (e.g., smartphone, electronic tablet). The integrated mobile computer application allows an individual user to purchase a time-based membership (e.g., one day, two day, three day, one week, one month, etc.) from participating fitness centers using the integrated mobile computer application, redeem and activate the time-based membership upon check-in at a selected fitness center, and then continue to subsequently check-in at the selected fitness center throughout the term of the purchased time-based membership. In a preferred embodiment, initial check-in, activation and subsequent check-in at the selected fitness center is achieved through an electronic validation process using the user's mobile electronic device.

  • Publication number: 20230415862
Abstract: Maintenance personnel need to be safely transferred to offshore structures from marine vessels in varying sea and weather conditions. Disclosed herein is a control system for a marine vessel (100) having a propulsion and steering system (101) and a fender arrangement (102) at the bow of the marine vessel to provide contact between the marine vessel and an external structure (103). The control system comprises force, pressure, torque or strain sensors and a controller. The force, pressure, torque or strain sensors measure force, pressure, torque or strain that are indicative of forces between the fender arrangement (102) and the external structure (103). The controller controls the operation of the propulsion and steering system (101) to substantially obtain or maintain desired forces between the fender arrangement (102) and the external structure (103) based on the force, pressure, torque or strain measurements from the force, pressure, torque or strain sensors.

  • Publication number: 20230420363
Abstract: IC devices with angled transistors and angled routing tracks, and related assemblies and methods, are disclosed herein. A transistor is referred to as an “angled transistor” if a longitudinal axis of an elongated semiconductor structure of the transistor (e.g., a fin or a nanoribbon) is neither perpendicular nor parallel to any edges of front or back sides of a support structure (e.g., a die) over which the transistor is implemented. Similarly, a routing track is referred to as an “angled routing track” if the routing track is neither perpendicular nor parallel to any edges of front or back faces of the support structure. Angled transistors and angled routing tracks provide a promising way to increasing densities of transistors on the limited real estate of semiconductor chips and/or decreasing adverse effects associated with continuous scaling of IC components.

  • Publication number: 20230422463
Abstract: SRAM devices with angled transistors, and related assemblies and methods, are disclosed herein. A transistor is referred to as “angled” if a longitudinal axis of an elongated semiconductor structure (e.g., a fin or a nanoribbon) based on which the transistor is built is at an angle other than 0 degrees or 90 degrees with respect to the edges of front or back faces of a support structure or a die on/in which the transistor resides, e.g., at an angle between about 10 and 80 degrees with respect to at least one of such edges. Implementing at least some of the transistors of SRAM cells as angled transistors may provide a promising way to increasing densities of SRAM cells on the limited real estate of semiconductor chips.

Abstract: Disclosed is an electromagnetic coil system for use during transcranial or transdermal stimulation procedures, in which an electrically conductive coil wraps around a magnetic core at an oblique wrapping angle to provide a more directed focal spot size at a given depth inside of, for example, a patient's body. In certain configurations, the electrically conductive coil may be adjustable with respect to the magnetic core, such that the wrapping angle of the electrically conductive coil may be modified to, in turn, adjust the focal spot size of the induced electric field generated by the system as may desired to concentrate the field at a particularly desired location.
