  • Patent number: 10552480
Abstract: A digital asset, such as may be created as part of a game development process, can go through various stages of development where various types of processing are performed. Some of this processing requires the asset to be in specific formats. In order to ensure that a computing device has the appropriate packages installed for processing the asset, an asset processor tool can monitor the assets and send information to a package management service regarding an asset that is unable to be processed on the computing device. The package management service can attempt to determine an appropriate package for the processing, and provide that package to the computing device. In some cases the identification and installation of packages can be performed automatically, while in other cases a user may need to select a recommended package, approve installation, or provide payment, among other such options.

  • Patent number: 10553115
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for acquiring and analyzing vehicle operation data in conjunction with traffic light information to manage traffic and avoid collisions. A traffic management system determines whether a vehicle is likely to be involved in a collision, based on at least vehicle operation data and the status of traffic lights. If it is determined that a vehicle is likely to be involved in a collision, the traffic management system may issue a notification or warning to the vehicle, e.g., instructing the vehicle to increase or decrease its rate of acceleration, and/or apply its brakes. Where the vehicle does not respond to the notification or warning, the traffic management system may take control of the vehicle, and notify and warn other vehicles and/or systems of its actions. Where the vehicle responds to the notification or warning, the traffic management system may calculate and recommend an insurance benefit.

  • Patent number: 10550911
Abstract: An internal combustion engine for use with a propeller driven aircraft includes a camshaft adapted to function as an output shaft that rotates a propeller to provide propulsive thrust. A gear set is configured to transfer rotational power from the crankshaft to the camshaft and to rotate the camshaft at a velocity that is proportional to the rotational velocity of the crankshaft. The gear set is disposed rearward of the engine housing rearward wall and is configured to rotate the camshaft in a direction opposite the crankshaft rotation. The length of the camshaft reduces engine torsional vibration. In one embodiment, the engine is a six-cylinder compression ignition engine having a boxer configuration and can generate a peak output power within a range from about 300 horsepower to about 350 horsepower.

  • Publication number: 20200031387
Abstract: A method for controlling a power steering system utilizes a vehicle having a motor, a controller coupled to the motor, and a steering assembly. The method includes detecting a steering rate using the controller and determining a vehicle speed. A base level steering damping is computed using the steering rate and the vehicle speed. At least one approximate vehicle acceleration is determined. A steering torque of the steering assembly is sensed through a torque sensor configured to sense the steering torque of the steering assembly. Moreover, a user torque is determined using the torque sensor. A damping boost is computed using the user torque and the at least one approximate vehicle acceleration. A final steering damping gain is determined using the base level steering damping and the damping boost. The final steering damping gain is applied to the steering assembly to minimize unwanted feedback to the steering assembly.
