  • Publication number: 20150002204
Abstract: An IC is disclosed which includes multiple sectors, each having a resonant clock distribution structure and a sector clock buffer. The sector clock buffer can drive a clock signal onto the resonant clock distribution structure, in response to received clock signal and control signals. The sector clock buffer includes a first driver circuit, with a first impedance to drive the clock signal during a first portion of first and second clock phases. The first driver circuit may cause oscillation of the resonant clock distribution structure. The sector clock buffer includes a second driver circuit, having a second impedance higher than the first impedance. The second driver circuit may maintain the clock signal during a second portion of the first and second clock phases, in response to the control signal. The second driver circuit may maintain the resonant clock distribution structure at one of two voltages.

  • Patent number: 8643421
Abstract: A method and elastic buffer circuit are provided for implementing low power, single master-slave elastic buffers in a network chip design to provide a continuous stream of data to multiple sinks from multiple sources, and a design structure on which the subject circuit resides. An elastic buffer only uses a single master-slave register. The circuit includes a finite state machine, and a latch control block (LCB) to implement the single master-slave elastic buffer removing all ½ cycle paths between buffer locations enabling usage of the single master-slave register.

  • Patent number: 6128746
Abstract: A memory arrangement, where a memory control logic, which drives a memory array, is maintained in a volatile power domain, and clock redrive circuitry, address control redrive circuitry, data transceiver, and the memory array itself are all maintained in a non-volatile power domain, in order to increase the effective life time of a battery backup system. The memory arrangement includes buffering circuitry to prevent leakage currents, and the appropriate control of nets between the memory control logic and the memory array, in order to avoid additional sources of leakage current and bus driver contentions.

  • Patent number: 5391168
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for correcting the shape of the human spinal column (S) and/or for fixing the human spinal column (S) , comprising at least one rod (2) extending in a longitudinal direction, in particular a rod made of material with a shape-memory, and at least one attachment element (3, 13) comprising two hooks (4, 14), a bridge (5, 17) and rod connecter (6), the bridge (5, 17) forming the connection between the hooks (4, 14), and the rod connecter (6) being adapted for detachably connecting the attachment element (3, 13) with the rod, wherein, according to the invention, the hooks (4, 14) substantially extend in a plane extending perpendicularly to the rod (2), the respective hooks (4, 14) being detachably connected with the bridge (5, 17) through a first end (4a, 15a) and being directed toward each other through second, hook-shaped, free ends (4b, 16a).
