  • Patent number: 5398417
Abstract: The invention relates to an electric hand tool comprising a housing, a reciprocating carrier for an operating member drivable by means of an electric motor placed in the housing, wherein the carrier is guided by at least two guide members fixed in the housing, wherein the guide members each comprise two guides placed on either side of the carrier, wherein one of the guides is fixedly attached and the other guide is provided with means for urging the guide against the carrier. The occurrence of play, wear, noise nuisance and vibrations is thus avoided.According to a preferred embodiment, both guides forming part of a guide member are formed by guide rollers received in a frame and the frame is fixedly mounted by means of a shaft extending through one of the guide wheels and a spring is placed between the housing and the frame such that the spring urges the other guide wheel into contact with the carrier.

  • Patent number: 5322302
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for mounting a saw-blade provided with an opening to a carrier which is connected to a drive device to make a reciprocating movement, wherein the device comprises: a wall extending in the direction of movement which is suitable for contact with a side of the saw-blade; a mounting body which is rotatable opposite the wall around a shaft extending perpendicularly of the direction of movement and parallel to the wall and which is provided with a protrusion which is movable into the opening arranged in the saw-blade; and urging means for urging the mounting body to a mounting position wherein the protrusion extends into the opening arranged in the saw-blade. Mounting takes place because via the sphere the saw-blade generates a moment in clockwise direction relative to the shaft. This moment is counteracted by a moment that is generated by the friction between the actuating rod and the contact surface.

  • Patent number: 4978877
Abstract: The invention concerns a device for mounting a pair of carbon brushes in an electric hand tool. To allow for the reversibility of the motor the device is mounted rotatably relative to the shaft of the motor. Further, the device is also used on the switch for reversing the polarity of the field windings by having a handgrip extending outside of the motor housing and having contacts for contacting relative fixed contacting strip members. By further using a bayonet-shaped structure, construction is simplified and the number of total parts is reduced.
