Publication number: 20130261600Abstract: A surgical instrument including a main unit and a suction conduit. The main unit includes at least one tubular body having a distal end, a proximal end, and an inlet disposed near the distal end. The suction conduit is slidably disposed over the main unit, and is slidably movable along the main unit between a retracted position, at which the suction conduit does not cover the inlet of the main unit, and an extended position at which the suction conduit covers the inlet of the main unit and a suction inlet of the suction conduit is placed in fluid-communication with the main unit inlet. The surgical instrument can be used as a suction tool by placing the suction conduit in the extended position and applying a vacuum through the inlet of the main unit and the suction inlet.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 31, 2013Publication date: October 3, 2013Inventors: Allen PALMER, John FLYNN, Sean CORRIGAN, Tom MATUSAITIS, Ed GEISELHART, Carolyn ROSE, Antonio BELTON

Publication number: 20130252604Abstract: Access management to femto cell service is provided through access control list(s) (e.g., white list(s), or black list(s)). White list(s) includes a set of subscriber station(s) identifier numbers, codes, or tokens, and also can include additional fields for femto cell access management based on desired complexity. White list(s) can have associated white list profile(s) therewith to establish logic of femto coverage access based on the white list(s). A mechanism for reciprocal addition of access field attributes in access control lists and white list profiles also is provided. The mechanism allows at least in part for a first subscriber to be added to a configured white list of a second subscriber, when the first subscriber configures a new white list, the second subscriber is reciprocally incorporated in the new white list. Such mechanism can be driven and facilitates generation of associations among groups of subscribers that share specific commonalities.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 21, 2013Publication date: September 26, 2013Applicant: AT&T Mobility II LLCInventors: Kurt Donald Huber, William Gordon Mansfield, Judson John Flynn

Publication number: 20130252632Abstract: Traffic and signaling are routed between a set of networked femto access points (APs) and location-based services are enabled. A femto AP in the set of femto APs is functionally linked to a routing platform that manages traffic and signaling, and is functionally connected to a controller component that relays at least part of data and control to a femto network platform. The femto network platform allows access to one or more external networks. Routing platform can exchange signaling with one or more femto APs to enable, at least in part, location-based services based at least in part on identifier(s) for a femto AP, access privileges, or time-of-flight measurements that assess propagation timing between a mobile device and a femto AP. Routing platform can supply timing configuration to enable predetermined spatial resolution of location estimates. Location estimates can be recorded and conveyed to a consumer layer.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 13, 2013Publication date: September 26, 2013Applicant: AT&T MOBILITY II LLCInventors: Kurt Donald Huber, William Gordon Mansfield, Judson John Flynn

Patent number: 8532400Abstract: Aspects of the invention pertain to identifying whether or not an image from a user's device is of a place. Before undertaking time and resource consuming analysis of an image using specialized image analysis modules, pre-filtering classification is conducted based on image data and metadata associated with the image. The metadata may include geolocation information. One classification procedure analyzes the metadata to perform a high level determination as to whether the image is of a place. If the results indicate that it is of a place, then a further classification procedure may be performed, where the image information is analyzed, with or without the metadata. This process may be done concurrently with a place match filtering procedure. The results of the further classification will either find a match with a given place or not. The output is a place match either with or without geolocation information.Type: GrantFiled: July 24, 2012Date of Patent: September 10, 2013Assignee: Google Inc.Inventors: Boris Babenko, Hartwig Adam, John Flynn, Hartmut Neven

Patent number: 8522312Abstract: System(s) and method(s) provide access management to femto cell service through access control list(s) (e.g., white list(s), or black list(s)). White list(s) includes a set of subscriber station(s) identifier numbers, codes, or tokens, and also can include additional fields for femto cell access management based on desired complexity. White list(s) can have associated white list profile(s) therewith to establish logic of femto coverage access based on the white list(s). Values of attribute fields that determine white list(s), black list(s), or white list profile(s) can be generated through various sources. An access list management component facilitates generation and maintenance of white list(s), black list(s), or white list profile(s). Values for identifier attribute field(s) available for inclusion in a white list are validated prior to inclusion therein.Type: GrantFiled: November 21, 2008Date of Patent: August 27, 2013Assignee: AT&T Mobility II LLCInventors: Kurt Donald Huber, Judson John Flynn, William Gordon Mansfield

Patent number: 8504032Abstract: System(s) and method(s) are provided for a femto cell service framework for registration, activation, and provisioning of femtocell service. An account management service enables femtocell account creation, and registration thereof. Registration includes validation of wireless coverage for a location of operation of a femto AP, and validation of availability enhanced 911 (E911) service. As part of registration provisioning, record(s) are updated to indicate registration status. Connection of femto AP to a network interface triggers activation process; the femto AP delivers an activation request. A femto network validates registration of the connected femto AP and conducts a location tolerance check of a received actual location of the femto AP and a registered location. Upon tolerance validation, a cell identifier and radio frequency channel(s) are assigned to femto AP. When femto AP radiates wireless signal, network activation status indicators are provisioned.Type: GrantFiled: June 12, 2009Date of Patent: August 6, 2013Assignees: AT&T Intellectual Property I, L.P., AT&T Mobility II LLCInventors: Robert Wayne Lott, Ravindra Babu Gurajala, Kurt Donald Huber, Judson John Flynn, William Gordon Mansfield, Jefferey Thomas Seymour, Rahul Neelakantan, Thomas Joseph Pitassi, John Potts Davis, Alfreda Downie, Stephen Leon Favor, Brian Keith Rainer, Dipak Kumar Sahoo, Victoria Collier, William Adams, Glen Zdroik, Gerald V.
