Abstract: A plurality of application services are provided to subscriber devices in a cloud computing network. A plurality of requests for application services are received from a subscriber device via a customized private network connection assigned to the subscriber device, and the requests for application services are aggregated with requests for application services from other subscriber devices. The requests are transmitted to application servers within the cloud computing network hosting applications for performing the application services. The subscriber device is provided with the requested plurality of application services via the customized private network connection.

Abstract: An aircraft system comprising a deflector assembly including, a base having mounting apertures; an inner ring concentrically positioned within an outer ring, the inner ring and the outer ring have an annulus defined therebetween via a base plate, a plurality of rods attached within the annulus and culminating at an apex creating a conical profile; and a forward-mounted cone-shaped deflecting member. The base plate comprises a through hole allowing airflow through the deflector assembly to supply an airplane engine. The aircraft safety device system further comprises at least one locking latch for removably securing the deflector assembly to a housing of the airplane engine. The aircraft safety device is mountable inside a lip of the housing of the airplane engine. Further, the aircraft safety device provides protection for airplane engines from air born animate and inanimate objects.

Abstract: An article suspension package for receiving an article is provided and this article receiving package can be provided as a standalone component on which an article is displayed, stowed, or carried, as a component for use in conjunction with other components such as, for example, a storage box or a shipping box in which the article suspension package and the article are disposed, and as an integral component with a packaging kit that is configured such that a platform tier of the article suspension package and the other components of the package kit can be wholly or substantially formed from the same sheet material such as, for example, a cardboard sheet material.

Abstract: Digital communication coding methods are shown, which generate certain types of low-density parity-check (LDPC) codes built from protographs. A first method creates protographs having the linear minimum distance property and comprising at least one variable node with degree less than 3. A second method creates families of protographs of different rates, all structurally identical for all rates except for a rate-dependent designation of certain variable nodes as transmitted or non-transmitted. A third method creates families of protographs of different rates, all structurally identical for all rates except for a rate-dependent designation of the status of certain variable nodes as non-transmitted or set to zero. LDPC codes built from the protographs created by these methods can simultaneously have low error floors and low iterative decoding thresholds.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are embodiments of a windshield assembly and methods for mounting a windshield to a vehicle frame. An exemplary method for mounting a windshield to a vehicle frame comprise treating a surface of a polymeric gasket with fluoro-oxidation, positioning the gasket on the windshield, treating the surface of the gasket with a liquid composition comprising one or more reactive adhesion promoters, applying a polyurethane-based adhesive to the treated surface of the gasket; and positioning the windshield and gasket against a mounting surface of the vehicle frame such that the adhesive adheres the treated surface of the gasket to the mounting surface.

Abstract: A computer system, computer program product, and method of sharing and creating social network reviews of selected programs that may be viewed and shared over a social network. If a user agrees with a social network review already present for a selected program, the categorization and editing of inappropriate content of the selected program may be applied to the same program for that user. If a user disagrees with a social network review of a selected program already present, the user may review the selected program and edit any inappropriate content as desired and submit the review to the social network.

Abstract: Some embodiments of the invention generally relate to an apparatus configured to monitor emissions. The apparatus includes a sampling chamber, a gas analyzer, and a particulate matter analyzer. The sampling chamber is configured to receive a portion of an exhaust flow from an exhaust stack. The portion of the exhaust flow comprises one or more gases and particulate matter. The gas analyzer is configured to receive the portion of the exhaust flow to measure at least one emission level of the one or more gases using a laser and output a signal indicative thereof. The particulate matter analyzer is operatively connected to the sampling chamber and is configured to measure the particulate matter using optics and output a signal indicative thereof.

Abstract: Vacuum insulating glass (VIG) units, edge seals for VIG units and methods for forming the edge seals are provided. The VIG units include an edge seal that includes a viscous material, which serves to restrict the rate at which gas permeates into a vacuum space defined between the glass sheets of the VIG unit. The edge seals are configured to allow the glass sheets to move laterally relative to one another when the glass sheets experience differential thermal strain and further configured such that viscous shear occurs within at least a portion of the viscous material when there is relative lateral movement between the glass sheets.

Abstract: A lighting fixture can dispose a light source in a recess of a ceiling or another surface while providing at least one of three adjustments that facilitates installation or post-installation setup. The first adjustment can support mounting the fixture to surfaces of differing thicknesses while maintaining the light source at a uniform recess depth. The second possible adjustment can facilitate rotating a visible portion of the fixture, typically an aperture or hole through which light transmits from the light source into a room or some other illuminated space. After the lighting fixture is attached to the ceiling, a user can rotate the aperture for alignment with another fixture or another object. The third possible adjustment can provide an illumination pattern that can be tilted to various angles or oriented in various directions according to user preference or to establish a desired lighting effect.

A series of flat load-supporting plateaus having predetermined increasing heights are regularly spaced from one another along the top surface so as to lie parallel with the flat bottom surface. With the flat bottom surface of the wedge spacer seated upon the lower tile, the curved body is rotated within the gap until one of the flat load-supporting plateaus along the top surface engages the upper tile.

Abstract: Embodiments in the present disclosure pertain to domain translators. A domain translator converts a variable from one domain to a different domain. Domains include, but are not limited to, voltage, current, frequency, phase, delay, and duty-cycle. In particular, domain translators enable conversion between standard voltage and current domains commonly used by circuit simulators to other domains such as frequency, phase, delay, duty-cycle, etc., so that linear analysis can be performed on a wide range of circuits that exhibit linear behavior in domains other than voltage and current.
