  • Publication number: 20250144603
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a catalyst for the production of percarboxylic acids which includes a co-catalyst 1 being either a transition metal oxide or carbonaceous compound and a second co-catalyst 2, distinct from co-catalyst 1 and being comprised of at least one transition metal, transition metal oxide, transition metal carbide or transition metal nitride. The combination of these co-catalysts provides the necessary kinds of catalytic active sites for both the chemisorption and activation of formic acid as well as active sites for the generation of surface active oxygen species. The combination of these co-catalyst materials results in the synergistic benefits of enhancement in catalytic activity for the production of the peracid as well as improved catalyst stability.

  • Patent number: 12274940
Abstract: A method and system for providing gaze-based generation of virtual effects indicators correlated with directional sounds is disclosed. Gaze data is tracked via a camera associated with a client device to identify a point of focus within a three-dimensional virtual environment towards which one or both eyes of the player are focused. When the point of focus indicated by the gaze data when the point of focus does not move towards the source location within the three-dimensional virtual environment when the directional sound is received indicates that a virtual effect indicator associated with the directional sound type of the indicated directional sound is should be generated.

  • Patent number: 12244414
Abstract: Systems and methods for more efficiently decoding convolutional LDPC encoded communication signals are described. A decoder circuit iteratively determines the values of received data bits and confidence values corresponding to the determined data bit values. Using the confidence values and one or both of check fail counters and log likelihood ratio (LLR) sign changes, the decoder circuit can determine that a desired level of confidence has been satisfied and can subsequently terminate decoding operations to save power.

  • Publication number: 20250035092
Abstract: Disclosed herein are system, apparatus, article of manufacture, method and/or computer program product embodiments, and/or combinations and sub-combinations thereof, for using a thin-bed hot sedimentary aquifer (HSA) in geothermal energy generation applications. An example embodiment operates by pumping, via an extraction well, heated water from an extraction depth of an HSA. The HSA is identified based on a permeability satisfying a threshold permeability range and could even have a thickness equal to or less than about 100 meters. The example embodiment further operates by extracting, via a power generation unit, heat from the heated water to generate power and transform the heated water into cooled water. Subsequently, the example embodiment operates by injecting, via an injection well, the cooled water at an injection depth of the HSA.
