  • Patent number: 10530926
Abstract: Initiating a conference call includes receiving a conference call request message from an initiating user specifying a plurality of other users and determining an availability of the other users to receive conference call invitations. A conference call is initiated between the initiating user and one or more of the other users that are determined to be available. The availability of one or more of the other users determined to be unavailable is monitored and interaction with a conference call invitation by one or more of the other users determined to be unavailable is enabled upon their monitored availability changing from unavailable to available. The interaction with the conference call invitation by the other users is conditioned on whether the conference call is still in progress.

  • Patent number: 10525436
Abstract: There is disclosed an electrode array architecture employing continuous and discontinuous circumferential electrodes. There is further disclosed a process for the neutralization of acid generated at anode(s) by base generated at cathode(s) circumferentially located to each other so as to confine a region of pH change. The cathodes can be displayed as concentric rings (continuous) or as counter electrodes in a cross pattern (discontinuous). In this way reagents, such as acid, generated in a center electrode are countered (neutralized) by reagents, such as base, generated at the corners or at the outer ring.

  • Patent number: 10531499
Abstract: Example base stations and methods for receiving transmissions on an enhanced random access channel (RACH) are disclosed herein. An example method for receiving transmissions on an enhanced RACH from a device such that an initial access burst is received in a single time slot from the device involves receiving the initial access burst from the device on the enhanced RACH. The initial access burst is sent by the device using a timing advance determined at the device. The initial access burst includes at least one of an identifier or user data. The enhanced RACH is a contention-based uplink-only channel requiring use of timing advances for transmissions thereon.

  • Publication number: 20200004860
Abstract: Techniques for analyzing an execution of a query statement based on a random archive are disclosed. A plurality of query statements that are executed during a particular time period are identified. A random sampling function is executed to randomly select a set of query statements from the plurality of query statements. Execution plans and/or performance metrics associated with each execution of the randomly-selected query statements are stored into a random archive. Responsive to determining that a performance metric for a current execution of a particular query statement does not satisfy a performance criteria, information associated with the particular query statement from the random archive is analyzed. A model plan characteristic associated with an execution of the particular query statement stored in the random archive is determined. An execution plan associated with the model plan characteristic is determined for another execution of the particular query statement.
