  • Patent number: 12020985
Abstract: Methods for obtaining a free-standing thick (>5 ?m) epitaxial material layer or heterostructure stack and for transferring the thick epitaxial layer or stack to an arbitrary substrate. A thick epitaxial layer or heterostructure stack is formed on an engineered substrate, with a sacrificial layer disposed between the epitaxial layer and the engineered substrate. When the sacrificial layer is removed, the epitaxial layer becomes a thick freestanding layer that can be transferred to an arbitrary substrate, with the remaining engineered substrate being reusable for subsequent material layer growth. In an exemplary case, the material layer is a GaN layer and can be selectively bonded to an arbitrary substrate to selectively produce a Ga-polar or an N-polar GaN layer.

  • Patent number: 12020179
Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes providing, to a client system of a user, a user interface for display. The user interface may include a first set of options for selecting an artificial intelligence (AI) task for integrating into a user application, a second set of options for selecting one or more devices on which the user wants to deploy the selected AI task, and a third set of options for selecting one or more performance constraints specific to the selected devices. User specifications may be received based on user selections in the first, second, and third sets of options. A custom AI model may be generated based on the user specifications and sent to the client system of the user for integrating into the user application. • Patent number: 12020075
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed relating to dispatching compute work from a compute stream. In some embodiments, a graphics processor executes instructions of compute kernels. Workload parser circuitry may determine, for distribution to the graphics processor circuitry, a set of workgroups from a compute kernel that includes workgroups organized in multiple dimensions, including a first number of workgroups in a first dimension and a second number of workgroups in a second dimension. This may include determining multiple sub-kernels for the compute kernel, wherein a first sub-kernel includes, in the first dimension, a limited number of workgroups that is smaller than the first number of workgroups. The parser circuitry may iterate through workgroups in both the first and second dimensions to generate the set of workgroups, proceeding through the first sub-kernel before iterating through any of the other sub-kernels. Disclosed techniques may provide desirable shapes for batches of workgroups.

  • Publication number: 20240202102
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure are directed to pre-seeding test databases in a computing environment for software testing. A system manages a pool of pre-seeded databases to serve user devices with different database requirements for their integration testing needs. Pre-seeded databases can be served more efficiently over empty databases that are populated client-side. From a user perspective, databases appear ready instantly, ready for use as part of testing software using the pre-seeded databases as a stand-in for production data. Pre-seeding databases circumvents the issues of wasted time and potential error that are otherwise possible when databases are served and populated client-side. Pre-seeding data mitigates the need to seed the database during test-time, reducing the integration test cycle for software being tested. Aspects of the disclosure provide for real-time restoration of databases by fixing portions of the database in place instead of outright deletion and recreation of an entire database.

  • Publication number: 20240200191
Abstract: Various systems and methods are provided to prevent backside deposition on a substrate by using a combination of approaches. The approaches include clamping the substrate to a pedestal and/or supplying purge gases to an area where deposition is not desired. The clamping methods include electrostatic or vacuum clamping. In addition, various pedestal and edge ring designs are provided for supplying purge gases to the area where deposition is not desired. The use of clamping in conjunction with purging can further enhance the performance without affecting deposition of materials on front side of the substrate. The clamping along the edge of the substrate can be made more effective by machining an upper surface of the pedestal to have a slight dish or dome like shape (i.e., concave or convex, respectively).

  • Publication number: 20240202445
Abstract: A method for execution by a computing device includes identifying sets of identigens for words of a phrase. The method further includes selecting, based on identigen pairing rules of a knowledge database, a first identigen of a first set of identigens for a first word that pairs with at least one corresponding sequentially adjacent identigen of a second set of identigens. The method further includes selecting the first identigen of the first set of identigens as a subsequent identigen corresponding to a subsequent occurrence of the first word within the sequence of words. The method further includes interpreting, in accordance with the identigen pairing rules and based on the first identigen selection for the subsequent occurrence of the first word, the sets of identigens to produce an entigen group that represents a most likely meaning interpretation of the phrase.
