Publication number: 20250148154Abstract: Early-stage design for complex engineering systems is a difficult task with significant impact on the final design and is performed under time constraints which restricts the number of options being considered. Present disclosure provides a framework for an early-stage generative design of engineering systems by performing systematic design space exploration and targeted design space exploration. Diverse design configurations are generated for given requirements following a systematic design space exploration of the entire architectural design space of the early-stage problem. In the targeted design space exploration stage, potential regions of the design space are identified to generate different alternatives to the diverse design configurations already generated during the systematic design space exploration stage for early-stage generative design of a given engineering system.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 16, 2024Publication date: May 8, 2025Applicant: Tata Consultancy Services LimitedInventors: BILAL MUHAMMED, AMOL DILIP JOSHI, SOBAN BABU BEEMARAJ, PURUSHOTTHAM GAUTHAM BASAVARSU, RIZWAN KHAN PATHAN, UMESH SINGH

Patent number: 12292525Abstract: An apparatus obtains a set of radio data comprising signal strength related values for radio signals transmitted by a transmitter with an association of each signal strength related value with a representation of a geographical location. The apparatus applies a frequency transform to the obtained set of radio data to obtain transform coefficients, each transform coefficient comprising a transform index and an associated transform value. The apparatus selects a subset of transform indices having more significant transform values than the remaining transform indices and compresses the transform indices by encoding each transform index exploiting a probability of occurrence of an index value of a respective transform index. The same or another apparatus decodes the compressed transform indices again for use in position operations.Type: GrantFiled: January 19, 2024Date of Patent: May 6, 2025Assignee: HERE GLOBAL B.V.Inventors: Lauri Wirola, Pavel Ivanov, Muhammad Irshan Khan, Jari Syrjärinne, Jukka Talvitie, Elena-Simona Lohan

Publication number: 20250136876Abstract: A process and apparatus for producing biofuel from biorenewable feedstock is disclosed. The process comprises hydrotreating the biorenewable feed stream in a hydrotreating reactor to hydrodeoxygenate a biorenewable feed stream to provide a hydrotreated effluent stream. The hydrotreated effluent stream is separated in a hot separator into a hot separated vapor stream and a hot separated liquid stream. A hydroisomerization feed stream is taken from the hot separated liquid stream and hydroisomerized in a hydroisomerization reactor to provide a hydroisomerized stream. All or a portion of a return stream taken from the hot separated vapor stream is recycled to the hydroisomerization reactor. The disclosed process and apparatus minimize the carryover of the normal C16 to the biofuel and maximizes the hydroisomerization of n-paraffin hydrocarbons in the hydrotreated effluent stream to produce a biofuel which meets the biofuel specification without affecting or compromising the biofuel yield.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 31, 2024Publication date: May 1, 2025Inventors: Neeraj Tiwari, Eseoghene Jeroro, James T.
