  • Publication number: 20090274391
Abstract: The claimed subject matter provides a system and/or a method that facilitates simulating a portion 2-dimensional (2D) data for implementation within a 3-dimensional (3D) virtual environment. A 3D virtual environment can enable a 3D exploration of a 3D image constructed from a collection of two or more 2D images, the 3D image is constructed by combining the two or more 2D images based upon a respective image perspective. An analyzer can evaluate the collection of two or more 2D images to identify a portion of the 3D image that is unrepresented by the combined two or more 2D images. A synthetic view generator can create a simulated synthetic view for the portion of 3D image that is unrepresented, the simulated synthetic view replicates a 2D image with a respective image perspective for the unrepresented portion of 3D image.

  • Patent number: 7612678
Abstract: The invention provides a monitoring tag for wearing about the appendage of an individual. It includes a self-contained transmitter module that is located in a housing and transmits radio signals to a base unit, for receipt by the base unit if within a predetermined range. If the individual wearing the monitoring tag moves outside this range then the base unit can trigger an alarm or send a warning signal. The housing has an opening for receiving the end of a flexible elongate strap to secure the tag around the appendage of the individual. The strap is attached to the housing inside the opening using a clip, which has structure for fixedly securing it to the strap and structure for fixedly securing it in the opening. Once the clip is attached to the housing it cannot be removed unless a weakened or frangible region between the securing structures is broken.

  • Patent number: 7604386
Abstract: A lamp socket for an automotive exterior lamp assembly that can be used with a replaceable incandescent bulb. The lamp socket comprises a plastic socket made from nylon 4,6. The lamp socket exhibits reduced outgassing that would otherwise result from photo-oxidative degradation of the polymers in the plastic socket. This helps prevent fogging of the lamp assembly lens and/or reflector for improved performance and aesthetic appearance over the life of the lamp assembly. The incandescent bulb used in the assembly can include a press-sealed end having a sleeve attached over the press-sealed end, and the sleeve can be made from at least one of nylon 4,6, PEI and PPA. • Publication number: 20090259301
Abstract: An implant capable of sensing pressure, force, pH level or any other condition releases a chemical into the body when a pre-set limit is exceeded. The chemical is chosen to be detectable by the person without the need of any external equipment. Typical chemicals are dyes causing coloration visible to the person or chemicals causing a mild and clearly identified reaction such as odor, taste, or unique sensation. The released chemical can have therapeutic effects as well. The invention is particularly suitable for detection of abnormal increase of internal pressure in order to monitor stent grafts.
