  • Patent number: 9649489
Abstract: An anchoring unit is disposed on a lead body of an electrical stimulation lead. The anchoring unit has a first end and a second end and includes a first attachment ring disposed at the first end, a second attachment ring disposed at the second end, and longitudinal struts extending linearly between, and coupled to, the first and second attachment rings. At least a portion of each longitudinal strut rests against the lead body in a retracted position, and each anchoring unit has a deployed position in which the first and second attachment rings are positioned closer together with the longitudinal struts extending away from the lead body to contact patient tissue and anchor the lead within the patient tissue.

  • Publication number: 20160281679
Abstract: A fluid powered electrical generator system for hydroelectric use or mountable to the side of vertical, man-made structures. The system can be rotatably mounted to the side so that as wind approaches and passes through the generator it will remain oriented to capture wind as it changes direction. The system includes a tubular housing that can also include PV material. A fixed helical vane can be formed onto an inner surface of the tubular housing in a spiral and direct wind more directly onto a fan blade assembly located within the tubular housing before an exhaust. A cone can be mounted at the center and front of a fan blade assembly facing wind passing through the tubular housing. Wind can experience compression between the generator cone and housing resulting in increased pressure and velocity, thereby increasing rotational speed of generator blades as the compressed, spiraled fluid passes through and exits the tubular housing.

  • Patent number: 9291153
Abstract: A tubular housing can include at least one fixed helical vane formed onto the inner surfaces of the tubular housing in a spiral and adapted to direct fluid into a spiraled flow and focus fluid onto a fan blade assembly associated with an alternator system and located within the tubular housing before a system exhaust. A generator cone can be mounted near the center and front of the fan blade assembly facing fluid passing through the tubular housing. As fluid passes over the generator cone it experiences compression between the generator cone and housing resulting in increased pressure and velocity of the fluid, thereby increasing rotational speed of the generator blades and generator as the compressed, spiraled fluid passes through the blades and exits the tubular housing. The system can be used for fixed or mobile applications in water, wind and manually induced fluid flow.

  • Patent number: 8916107
Abstract: Portable decontamination and deodorization systems configured to decontaminate a target environment for specified periods of time. A housing contains pressurized media. A spherical media diffuser can be connected to and controlled by a sphere retainer module and a funnel-like orifice can be located under a lower hemisphere of the spherical media diffuser to move the spherical media diffuser and over the funnel-like orifice creating a gap there-between to evenly distribute chemical in a fog or spray throughout a room. a valve controller can be coupled by tubing between media contained in said housing and the gap formed between the spherical media diffuser and funnel-like orifice.
