  • Publication number: 20050192514
Abstract: A system and method for treatment of neurological disorders with sound therapy is disclosed. The system can have a local PDA, a remote server, a physician's PC, and a database connected to the server. The PDA and PC can be networked with the server. The PC can initialize a treatment protocol stored at the server. The server can utilize the database and the protocol from the PC to come up with a recommended therapy. The recommended therapy can be selected by the PC and sent to the PDA. The PDA can then execute the selected therapy on the patient. The PDA can also record biometric and other feedback and send it to the server.

  • Publication number: 20030056012
Abstract: A system is disclosed that provides a continuous cyber link connection between embedded controllers in devices installed in a home, such as digital utility meters and smart appliances, and server facilities on the World Wide Web by using a gateway with broadband connectivity to the Internet. The installed devices are interfaced in full-duplex data packet communication to the gateway through a controller. The gateway includes a translator for communication between the installed devices and a web communicator and an emulator within the gateway. The web communicator provides a link with the servers on the Web and the emulator gives a Web representation for each installed device in the user's home in the form of a personal Home Place Web Page (“MyCHome Place Web Page”). The home user has access to the installed devices in the home through the Internet using a “dot com” Web server that allows access to the Home Place Web Page (the “MyCHome Place Web Page”).

  • Patent number: 5852800
Abstract: A method and apparatus for generating a summation signal by programmably modulating the intensity levels of a plurality of associated channels of a selection and combining the modulated segments into a unified digital record. A pre-established and user modifiable set of channel intensity levels is provided to the user as a manufacturer recommended modulation and mixing pattern. The user creates, personalizes and subjectively improves sets of channel intensity levels from the basis of default or pre-established patterns and thus produces unique and customized summation signals. A system operator individually adjusts the relative intensity levels of each of a plurality of channels. Each channel is played at default or pre-established intensity, solely and individually, or completely masked, or at a specific relative intensity as programmed by the system operator. Intensity value sets are stored for later access, whereby the operator recreates a previously programmed summation signal.

  • Patent number: 5359491
Abstract: The capacitive sensor comprises a sensor body which includes a housing, a conductive front surface and insulation means provided between the conductive surface and the housing; it also comprises a coaxial cable of the type shielded by a mineral insulator for the connection of the conductive surface to a device for measuring the capacitance of the system formed by the conductive surface, constituting a first capacitor plate, and a reference conductive surface which is arranged opposite to and at a given distance from the first plate and which constitutes a second capacitor plate. The body of the sensor is formed by an electrically open extension of the coaxial cable shielded by a mineral insulator in which the free end of the core constitutes the conductive surface, the extension of the sheath constitutes the housing, and the insulation means consist of a mineral insulator.

  • Patent number: 4539678
Abstract: The contents of input time-division channels on a closed-loop link (10LO, 10HI) are stored in a memory (173) at the address supplied by an input address counter (IAC) controlled by an incoming timing signal (2MCR). The memory is read out under control of an output address counter (OAC) controlled by an outgoing timing signal (2MCT). Each time interval is divided into one read period and two write periods. Means (186) are provided to select one of the two write periods dependent on the phase relationship between the incoming and outgoing timing signals. The units connected in series by means of the closed-loop link receive a timing signal circulating on a timing loop (15) that is closed by a master timing device (13). Slave timing devices (18) inserted in the timing loop regenerate the timing signals circulating thereon and check same.
