    Abstract: There is disclosed a computer-implemented method for training a neural network-based system. The method comprises receiving a training data item and target data associated with the training data item. The training data item is processed using an encoder to generate an encoding of the training data item. A subset of neural networks is selected from a plurality of neural networks stored in a memory based upon the encoding; wherein the plurality of neural networks are configured to process the encoding to generate output data indicative of a classification of an aspect of the training data item. The encoding is processed using the selected subset of neural networks to generate the output data. An update to the parameters of the selected subset of neural networks is determined based upon a loss function comprising a relationship between the generated output data and the target data associated with the training data item.

    Abstract: An automatic tensioning side track assembly includes a stationary base track, a dynamic screen receiver, a first magnet, a second magnet, and a screen. The first magnet is oppositely charged relative to the second magnet and is configured to maintain an attractive magnetic force with the second magnet. The first magnet is disposed at a first position associated with a first rectilinear horizontal distance away from the second magnet when the screen is at a substantially planar configuration and has a desired tensioned state. The first magnet is disposed at a second position associated with a second rectilinear horizontal distance away from the second magnet when the screen is at a substantially bowed configuration and has an undesired tensioned state. The first magnet is configured to automatically return from the second position to the first position after the screen is displaced to the substantially bowed configuration.

    Abstract: A zero-sequence current balancer for a controlling zero-sequence current in a three-phase power system includes a zig-zag transformer coupled to the three-phase power system, an inverter coupled to an output of the zig-zag transformer, and at least one of: (i) a clamp device operating as a normally open switch, the clamp device being provided in between the output of the zig-zag transformer and a neutral conductor (which may be grounded) and being connected in parallel with the inverter, and (ii) a load-break switch provided between the output end of the zig-zag transformer and an input of inverter. A controller is structured and configured to detect a fault condition in the three-phase power system, and in response cause at least one of the closing of the clamp device or the opening of the load-break switch in order to protect the system.

A method, comprising: providing processed algae for subsequent use in accelerated consumption of at least one compound from a fluid to be treated by exposing algae to a processing fluid depleted in the at least one compound to be consumed by the algae in a processing vessel; adding said processed algae to a contact receptacle containing said fluid to be treated to reduce a concentration of said at least one compound from said fluid to be treated; and recirculating at least a portion of said algae and said processing fluid from said contact receptacle to said processing vessel. This makes the processed algae better adapted to reduce the amount or concentration of the at least one compound within the fluid more quickly than is possible with unprocessed algae.

    Abstract: A rotary assembly for driving spool rotation includes a rotor and a flow modifier. The rotor is mechanically coupled to a spool of a gas turbine engine. The flow modifier receives flow from and/or direct flow to the rotor. The rotary assembly permits relative movement between the rotor and the flow modifier to move between: a turbine configuration wherein the rotor receives air from an external air source to drive the spool to rotate; and a compressor configuration wherein the rotor is driven to rotate by the spool and to receive and compress air from the gas turbine engine, and discharge the compressed air for supply to the airframe system. The rotary assembly also includes controller to control relative movement between the rotor and the flow modifier through a range of turbine positions of the turbine configuration to vary a torque applied to the rotor for driving the spool.

The second metal layer is metallurgically bonded to the first metal layer at least via the plurality of spaced-apart posts. A method of making the bonded multi-layer composite cookware is also disclosed.

    Abstract: A powered KAFO device includes an electronic control system that provides an enhanced operation to better approximate a human gait cycle for enhanced mobility assistance. Multiple gait cycles of stance substate control and swing substate control are implemented to perform walking. During stance control, the control system measures an error between a desired and an actual knee joint component angle, and operates the actuator assembly of the powered mobility assistance device to control the knee joint component to stabilize the knee joint component. During swing control, the electronic control system measures an error between a desired and an actual knee swing trajectory, and operates the actuator assembly to control the knee joint component to adjust toward the desired swing knee trajectory. The gait cycle further may include a neutral substate that transitions from the stance substate to the swing substate, in which actuator assembly releases the knee joint component.

A difference is identified between the center of the green rubber tread and a center of the tire building drum.
