  • Publication number: 20100134440
Abstract: The display device is provided with X electrodes XP and Y electrodes YP which cross with a first insulating layer in between and a number of Z electrodes which are electrically floating from each other with a second insulating layer in between. The Z electrodes are arranged so that each Z electrode overlaps both an adjacent X electrode and Y electrode. The pad portion of a first X electrode has such a form that the area is maximum in the vicinity of the fine wire portion of the first X electrode and the area is minimum in the vicinity of the fine wire portion of an adjacent second X electrode, and the area of the pad portion is smaller towards the direction in which the distance increases away from the vicinity of the fine wire portion of the first X electrode. A pulse signal is sequentially applied to one set of X electrodes or Y electrodes.

  • Publication number: 20100136100
Abstract: The present invention is to provide a removal promoter for apoptotic cells which is capable of immediately removing apoptotic cells in vivo by macrophages, or a removal inhibitor which inhibits the removal of apoptotic cells in vivo by macrophages. A removal promoter for apoptotic cells in vivo containing the milk fat globule-EGF factor 8-L (MFG-E8-L), MFG-E8-L mutant having removal promotion action for apoptotic cells in vivo by macrophages, or preferably a recombinant human or mouse MFG-E8-L, or a recombinant human or mouse MFG-E8-L mutant as an active ingredient is prepared. Such removal promoters specifically bind to apoptotic cells and promote the phagocytosis of apoptotic cells by macrophages by recognizing aminophospholipids such as phosphatidylserine exposed on apoptotic cell surface. On the other hand, a point mutation (D89E) MFG-E8-L mutant is used as a removal inhibitor.

  • Publication number: 20100128353
Abstract: An imaging optical system a high quality image may be implemented by determining the optimum design conditions for suppressing the generation of ghost while holding uniform and sufficient light using a simulation method. In the imaging optical system having a slit, the requirements for removing the stray light are the inclination of a lens arrangement direction, the slit width, the lens pitch, the view angle, and the height of the light-shielding wall. The slit location, the lens thickness, and the lens row width do not affect the stray light removal, but affect the brightness. In the imaging optical system having no slit, the essential requirements for removing the stray light are the height of the light-shielding wall and the lens pitch. The lens thickness and the lens row width do not affect the stray light removal, but affect the brightness.

  • Patent number: 7717367
Abstract: In a pretensioner device, engaging teeth of a pinion (rotating body) have first projections which project-out toward the other side in the peripheral direction of a cam portion. Meshing claws of a clutch plate have second projections which project-out toward a one side in the peripheral direction of the cam portion, and whose gear portion side end surfaces face the first projections. In a state before operation of the pretensioner device, movement of the clutch plate toward one side in the axial direction with respect to the pinion is restricted due to the second projections engaging with the first projections. Accordingly, in the pretensioner device, in the state before operation, even if some type of external force is applied to the clutch plate, positional offset of the clutch plate toward the one side in the axial direction with respect to the pinion can be prevented.

  • Publication number: 20100116253
Abstract: An integrated value of discharge quantity of a fuel pump is used as a parameter evaluating a pressure loss of a fuel filter. A target discharge quantity is obtained by correcting a fuel quantity required by an engine with a filter pressure loss correction amount corresponding to an integrated value of the discharged quantity. A target rotational speed of the fuel pump is computed based on the target discharge quantity, so that the target rotational speed is corrected in accordance with the pressure loss of the fuel filter. Alternatively, the target rotational speed may be corrected in accordance with a deterioration degree of the fuel pump.
