  • Publication number: 20190129744
Abstract: Live migration of a hardware accelerated application may be orchestrated by cloud services to transfer the application from a source server to a destination server. The live migration may be triggered by probe circuitry that monitors quality of service metrics for migration conditions at the source server. When live migration is initiated by the cloud services, a snapshot of all state information relevant to the application at the source server may be saved to network attached storage accessible by the destination server. Changes to said state information at the source server may be mirrored onto the network attached storage. The destination server may copy the snapshot and subsequent changes and run the application in parallel before taking complete control of the application. After a handshake operation between the source and destination servers, the application may be shut down at the source server.

  • Patent number: 10276234
Abstract: An Sb—Te—Ti phase-change thin-film material applicable to a phase-change memory and preparation thereof. The Sb—Te—Ti phase-change memory material is formed by doping an Sb—Te phase-change material with Ti, Ti forms bonds with both Sb and Te, and the Sb—Te—Ti phase-change memory material has a chemical formula SbxTeyTi100?x?y, where 0<x<80 and 0<y<100?x. When the Sb—Te—Ti phase-change memory material is a Ti—Sb2Te3 phase-change memory material, Ti atoms replace Sb atoms, and phase separation does not occur. The crystallization temperature of the Sb—Te—Ti phase-change memory material is significantly risen, retention is improved, and thermal stability is enhanced; meanwhile, the amorphous state resistance decreases, and the crystalline state resistance increases; and the Sb—Te—Ti phase-change memory material has wide application in phase-change memories.

  • Patent number: 10273577
Abstract: Systems and methods for processing films on the surface of a substrate are described. The systems possess aerosol generators which form droplets from a condensed matter (liquid or solid) of one or more precursors. A carrier gas is flowed through the condensed matter and push the droplets toward a substrate placed in a substrate processing region. An inline pump connected with the aerosol generator can also be used to push the droplets towards the substrate. A direct current (DC) electric field is applied between two conducting plates configured to pass the droplets in-between. The size of the droplets is desirably reduced by application of the DC electric field. After passing through the DC electric field, the droplets pass into the substrate processing region and chemically react with the substrate to deposit or etch films.
