  • Publication number: 20190014124
Abstract: Managing policies for a chain of administrative domains, from end-to-end, includes receiving, at a network device associated with an administrative domain that is part of a chain of administrative domains provisioning an Internet-based application or an Internet-based service to a network, a root block for a blockchain. The root block is generated by a network device in the network and includes a request for a specific network parameter over a specific time period. The network device associated with the administrative domain appends a first block to the blockchain including the root block to accept the request and configures the administrative domain in accordance with the specific network parameter when an end-to-end path in the chain of administrative domains accepts the request. The network device associated with the administrative domain also generates blockchain transactions that append network status updates to the blockchain during the specific time period.

  • Publication number: 20190014167
Abstract: Disclosed are mechanisms for sharing managed content through external systems. A sharing module publishes content in a share and metadata associated therewith to an external system. The share represents a folder or directory in a repository managed by an information system such as an enterprise content management system. The publication is made possible through application programming interface (API) calls handled by a first sharing module API, a repository API, a second sharing module API, and an external system API. These APIs together provide a one-to-one mapping of communications protocols used by the managed repository and the external system. The share in the managed repository and the share published to the external system are synced and any conflict between the two is detected and resolved. The shared content can be repatriated back to the managed repository and the shared version deleted from the external system.

  • Publication number: 20190012844
Abstract: An intelligent VR (IVR) system receives a VR content item and automatically augments the VR content item with additional or ancillary content. The intelligent VR system initially identifies within the VR content item, valid textual and non-textual objects that have ancillary content associated therewith. The IVR system provides hotspots that signify presence of the ancillary content for the valid objects during a display of the VR content item. The hotspots and the ancillary content are positioned for display corresponding to pixel blocks including the valid objects. The ancillary content is selected for the hotspots based on a spatial and temporal extent of display of the valid objects. The hotspots with respective ancillary content items and the VR content item are streamed to a head mounted display (HMD) for display to a viewer.

  • Patent number: 10176407
Abstract: Described is a system for library-based spectral demixing. The system simultaneously separates and identifies spectral elements in a set of noisy, cluttered spectral elements using Sparse Representation-based Classification (SRC) by modeling the set of noisy, cluttered spectral elements. The spectral library models each spectral element in the set of noisy, cluttered spectral elements, each spectral element having a corresponding wavenumber measurement. Wavenumber measurements are classified, resulting in salient wavenumber measurements. Target spectral elements representing a target of interest are identified in the set of noisy, cluttered spectral elements using the salient wavenumber measurements.
