  • Patent number: 8504756
Abstract: A system, circuit and method for improving system-on-chip (SoC) bandwidth performance for high latency peripheral read accesses using a bridge circuit are disclosed. In one embodiment, the SoC includes the bridge circuit, one or more bus masters, at least one high bandwidth bus slave and at least one low bandwidth bus slave that are communicatively coupled via a high bandwidth bus and a low bandwidth bus. Further, the bus masters access the at least one low bandwidth bus slave by issuing an early read transaction request in advance to a scheduled read transaction request. Furthermore, the bridge circuit receives the early read transaction request and fetches data associated with the early read transaction request. In addition, the bridge circuit receives the scheduled read transaction request. The fetched data is then sent to the bus masters upon receiving the scheduled read transaction request.

  • Patent number: 8504818
Abstract: The embodiments described herein generally relate to methods and systems for tunneling arbitrary binary data between an HTTP endpoint and an arbitrary destination. Such tunneling of data is valuable in an environment, for example, in which a browser-based client communicates in the HTTP protocol and desires to exchange data with a remote endpoint understanding non-HTTP communications. A relay server is used as a “middle man” to connect the client to the destination, and components supporting the necessary protocols for data exchange are plugged into the relay server. To achieve reliable and ordered transmission of data, the relay server groups sessions through the assignment of session identifiers and tracks the exchange of messages through the assignment of sequence and acknowledgment numbers. Further, the relay server provides for authenticating the HTTP endpoint with the destination and for handling other operations not available in the constrained environment of the Web-based client.

  • Publication number: 20130194083
Abstract: The various embodiments of the present invention provide a system and method for delivering a haptic force feedback during a vocational tool operation. According to an embodiment, the system comprises a moving capstan drive mechanism connected to a holder and a motor. A sensor detects the rotation speed of a motor. A control circuit is connected to the sensor and to an information processor loaded with virtual reality environment software to provide a feedback force to the user, when the holder is displaced. The linear displacement of the holder is converted into a rotational movement of motor. The sensor outputs a signal based on the rotational speed of the motor to the control circuit to provide a haptic feedback force to a user and to provide a display, when the holder is displaced linearly by the user.

  • Publication number: 20130198138
Abstract: An aspect of the present invention provides for capturing of audit trail data related to processing of requests. In an embodiment, the received requests are classified into a first category and a second category. For each request in the first category, the corresponding audit trail data is stored directly into non-volatile storage upon processing of the request. On the other hand, for each request in the second category, the audit trail data is first stored into a volatile memory upon processing of the request, and then later copied from the volatile memory to non-volatile storage. Thus, the audit trail data corresponding to both categories of requests is eventually available stored on non-volatile storage.

  • Patent number: 8498169
Abstract: A circuit includes a plurality of capacitors responsive to a plurality of latches that store a test code. A first bit line is coupled to a bit cell and coupled to a sense amplifier. A second bit line is coupled to the bit cell and coupled to the sense amplifier. A differential charge from a set of the plurality of capacitors is applied to the first bit line and to the second bit line. The set of the plurality of capacitors is determined based on the test code and the test code is independent of an output of the sense amplifier.

  • Patent number: 8497408
Abstract: High-pressure bleeding wounds (and other bleeding wounds) may be treated by applying direct pressure directly in the bleeding wound, such as by applying a back pressure in a confined space around and in the wound. Certain substances and articles may be inserted into the wound, and the wound may be enclosed with that substance or article (such as a hemostatic substance, which may be polymeric), by swelling on contact with molecules (such as water molecules in the blood) encountered in the wound, generates the desired pressure to stop or at least reduce the bleeding without the detrimental effects of a tourniquet. Clot-inducing substances may be introduced into the wound contemporaneously with direct pressure application directly in the wound. Compressible and non-compressible wounds are treated. Treatment stops bleeding without producing pressure injury or ischemic damage. Medical devices using this technology are provided, including removable, biodegradable, medic-administrable devices.

  • Patent number: 8498854
Abstract: End-to-end testing of applications across networks is enabled. To test the application and the infrastructure subsystems, an application server connected to the network contains an application under test. A response simulator is connected to the other end of the network. A test module is accessible to the application and to the simulator and contains a test message to be transmitted to the simulator, and an expected response message from the simulator. The application transmits each test message and compares a response message from the simulator to an expected response message. The simulator obtains the response to each test message from the test module.
