Patent number: 11432167Abstract: A network has wireless enabled nodes of more than one hardware type. A computing device obtains a software update for one of the node types and sends an announcement of availability through the network. The announcement includes a node type identifier. A node that recognizes the identifier as matching its own hardware type collects the software update through a series of one or more requested packet transfers from the controller. Each packet carrying part of the update also includes the node type identifier. A node of a different type that has received the packets may serve as a source of missing packets to other nodes. Alternatively, nodes needing missing packets can fetch them from the computing device. When the software update is completely received by a node of the identified type, that node reboots and executes the updated software. Any node of another type discards the packets.Type: GrantFiled: January 22, 2020Date of Patent: August 30, 2022Assignee: ABL IP HOLDING LLCInventors: Stephen H. Lydecker, Sajin George, Emanuel Paul Malandrakis, Sharanappa Avati, Mitri J. Abou-Rizk

Patent number: 10341211Abstract: An analytics and diagnostic node according to the present disclosure monitors oversubscription and determines flow metrics by receiving mirror command frames from one or more switching nodes. The mirror command frames could correspond to a multiple flows traversing over a connection within a network. The analytics and diagnostic node collects at least one latency metric for each of the flows using timestamps found within the mirror command frames. Based on the latency metrics and timestamps, the analytic diagnostic node determines an average data rate for each of the flows. The analytics and diagnostic node also computes the cumulative data rates corresponding to different bucket intervals based on the average data rates. To detect oversubscription, the analytics and diagnostic node compares the cumulative data rates with one or more oversubscription rules.Type: GrantFiled: September 23, 2016Date of Patent: July 2, 2019Assignee: Brocade Communications Systems LLCInventors: Badrinath Kollu, Sathish Kumar Gnanasekaran, Ganesh Kumar Murugesan, Amit Kumar Tyagi, Sharanappa Ijeri

Patent number: 6133444Abstract: A method is disclosed for preparing novel purine PNA synthons having protecting groups which may be removed under mild conditions. The purine PNA synthons generally are prepared by coupling purine derivatives having carbamate protection to a protected N-(2-aminoethyl)-glycine backbone. By a method of this invention, purine PNA synthons may have orthogonal protection of the carbamate protected purine and the protected backbone. The purine PNA synthons are useful in the synthesis of peptide nucleic acids (PNAs) and other oligomers such as PNA-DNA chimeras, and may be used in automated synthesizers. In practicing methods of the invention, novel compositions of matter also are disclosed.Type: GrantFiled: June 7, 1995Date of Patent: October 17, 2000Assignee: PerSeptive Biosystems, Inc.Inventors: James M.
