  • Patent number: 10369038
Abstract: Low profile, contoured footplates that maintain tension in the plantar fascia without causing undue discomfort to the user are suggested for treatment of plantar fasciitis and other heel pain. The footplates may be ambidextrous and thus used to support either the left and right plantar fascia. The footplates can be used in assemblies for securing the footplate to the wearer's foot, as well as systems for iterative treatment of plantar fasciitis and other heel pain.

  • Patent number: 10365780
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for making an electronic document easier to use based on prior interactions with the same or a similar document by other users. An electronic document is presented to one or more users in an interactive environment. Interactions between the users and the document can be recorded as usage data. The usage data may represent one or more operations performed on the electronic document by the users. Based on the usage data, an enhanced user interaction feature associated with the document is configured. The electronic document and the enhanced user interaction feature are then presented to another user in another interactive environment. The enhanced user interaction feature makes using the document easier than it would be if the feature was not present, particularly for users who are unfamiliar with the document.

  • Publication number: 20190229684
Abstract: In one form, a signal generator system such as a power amplifier system includes an amplification stage, a lowpass filter, and a controller. The amplification stage includes a first amplifier having an input for receiving an input signal, a control input for receiving a first control signal, and an output. The lowpass filter has a first input coupled to the output of the first amplifier, and an output. The controller has a first input coupled to the output of the lowpass filter, and a first output coupled to the control input of the first amplifier, wherein the controller varies the first control signal to reduce a difference between the output of the lowpass filter and a first target voltage level.

  • Publication number: 20190229608
Abstract: In one form, a power amplifier system includes first and second amplification path, and a combination element. The first amplification path has an input for receiving a drive signal, and an output. The second amplification path has an input coupled to the input of the first amplification path, and an output. The second amplification path has a delay element that inserts a signal path delay with respect to the first amplification path, wherein the delay element has a delay corresponding to a harmonic that is desired to be reduced. The combination element is coupled to the output of the first amplification path and an output of the second amplification path, and provides an output signal as a sum of outputs of the first amplification path and the second amplification path.

  • Patent number: 10360095
Abstract: Embodiments are disclosed for improving failure recovery in a distributed system during execution of a processing chain. In the context of a method, an example embodiment includes implementing, by the distributed system, a task coordination state machine corresponding to the processing chain. This example embodiment of the method further includes discovering, using the task coordination state machine, an error occurring during execution of the processing chain. Finally, the example embodiment of the method further includes reporting the error by a failure report generator service and recovering, by a failure recovery service, from the error. Corresponding apparatuses and computer program products are also provided.

  • Patent number: 10355952
Abstract: Techniques described herein relate to automatic upstream service resumption after downstream system failure. An automatic resumption module may be configured to monitor a downstream endpoint (of a problematic downstream service provider) and determine when it again successfully can process requests by periodically processing inbound requests (e.g., from suspended upstream service providers) and automatically re-enabling upstream endpoints for the suspended upstream service providers in the case of success. The automatic resumption module may start a trickle feed timer for each upstream endpoint to allow messages to be processed at a configured retry rate while the upstream endpoint remains suspended. The trickle feed timer may be configured to start upon the triggering of a circuit breaker for the involved downstream service. When downstream endpoint invocation succeeds, the automatic resumption module can resume all upstream endpoints associated with the downstream endpoint.

  • Publication number: 20190205653
Abstract: This application discloses a method of provisioning an electronic device. The electronic device establishes a communication link with a client device that can obtain network credentials for accessing a secure wireless network. The network credentials is configured to enable the electronic device to independently access the secure wireless network. The client device encrypts at least a portion of the network credentials using a password key provided by a remote server. The password key is based on a secret not known to the client device, and the secret is associated with the electronic device at the remote server. The client device sends the encrypted network credentials to the electronic device over the established communication link, thereby allowing the electronic device to recover the network credentials based on the secret and access the secure wireless network using the network credentials.
