  • Publication number: 20080089040
Abstract: A method and system for improving the connection for the receptacle used to receive external electrical power and transfer power to the mother board in a laptop computer. The laptop power receptacle is provided a robust connection that is capable of absorbing external forces of the power cable. A power supply is connected to a first female receptacle, which is fastened to the laptop casing. Inside the laptop computer, the first female receptacle is connected to a male receptacle by flexible conductive wire. The male receptacle fits into a second female power receptacle on the mother board. Since the external power supply cable is indirectly attached to the mother board via the flexible wire, the solder joints of the power receptacle on the mother board never receive stress, regardless of how much stress is applied to the external power cable.

  • Publication number: 20080086962
Abstract: The present invention comprises a flexible ceiling panel preferably formed from sheet metal, such as aluminum sheet. Each ceiling panel has a generally rectangular shape (corresponding in width to the spacing between the main runners) and is formed with a hem on all four edges. A series of bendable tabs are formed integrally with the hem of the panel. To secure the panel to the associated grid system, the tabs are folded upwardly and outwardly from the panel along two axes to secure the panel to the grid system. Alternatively, a plurality of separate spring clips is used to secure the panel to the grid system. Each clip includes a first leg adapted to have at least a portion thereof received in the hem of the ceiling panel. A second leg extends generally perpendicularly from the first leg and includes a detent extending toward the first leg, the detent being adapted to secure the clip to the flange of the runner.

The intramedullary fixation assembly includes a fixation member that has ends and a curved body extending between the ends. The curved body of the fixation member has a radius of curvature configured to extend through the medullary canal regardless of the long bone anatomy. Fasteners fix the fixation member to the bone fragments and are guided by a guide assembly. The guide assembly includes a guide body defining openings configured to guide the fasteners through openings defined in the fixation member and into the bone fragments. A fixation end of the guide body includes a pair of opposing, converging surfaces that are configured to engage in a positive fit with an exposed end of the fixation member accessible through the side aperture in the first fragment.

  • Publication number: 20080088985
Abstract: A magnetic head including a CPP read head sensor. The CPP sensor includes a layered sensor stack including a free magnetic layer, a tunnel barrier layer, a pinned magnetic layer and an antiferromagnetic layer. An ion milling process is used to perform a partial depth material removal to establish the back wall of the sensor stack. The antiferromagnetic layer is not milled through to create the back wall of the sensor stack. Side walls of the sensor stack may also be created by ion milling, when the antiferromagnetic layer is not milled through in creating the side walls. In various embodiments, the material removal depth lies beyond the tunnel barrier layer, within or even through the pinned magnetic layer.
