Abstract: A trusted agent for enabling the check of the access of a user operating a first computer system controlled by a first security system to software and/or data on a second computer system controlled by a second security system. The trusted agent includes several functions, including: (a) reception of a user-id for the second computer system and transmission of the user-id to the second security system; (b) retrieval of a shared secret, which is registered in the fist security system and in the second security system, from the second security system; and (3) transmission of the shared secret from the trusted agent to the second computer system.

Abstract: A hard copy apparatus with a print media telescoping tray system is disclosed. The telescoping tray system consists of an output tray, a paper tray, and an output tray position detector. The trays are constrained to translate in one line of motion, a substantially planar path into and out of the front of the apparatus, by nesting the paper tray within the output tray and guiding the trays along the line of motion. The trays telescope in a relatively small vertical opening below the paper feed drive mechanism of the apparatus. The telescoping tray system enables two modes of printing operation by providing a paper output path when in the output tray closed mode and by providing a full tray where printed sheets can be stacked during a multi-sheet or batch print job in an output tray open mode.

Abstract: Centrifuge rotor apparatus for supporting centrifuge carriers by way of pivoting supports has sling-like rotor arms, each with vertically-spaced upper and lower arm segments joined at a sling seat distal from the rotor hub. Each rotor arm has a channel-like space between the arm segments which removably and replaceably receives carrier-supporting pivot structure and seats the pivot structure within a bearing formed at the sling seat.
