  • Patent number: 11963307
Abstract: A ball-grid-array component of a ball-grid array assembly is analyzed prior to reflow. A predicted warping pattern of the ball-grid-array component that is likely to occur during reflow is predicted based on the analyzing. A solder ball ball-grid-array defect that could be caused by the predicted warping pattern is predicted. An initial via suction pattern to mitigate the ball-grid-array defect is assigned. A vacuum head is applied to a via in the ball-grid-array assembly. The solder ball is located at the opposite end of the via from the vacuum head. Suction is applied to the via based on the via suction pattern. The suction draws a portion of the solder ball into the via during reflow.

  • Publication number: 20240118068
Abstract: Provided herein are various embodiments of an improved device for accurate measurement along a desired axis that is tolerant to off axis movement and other environmental factors. The measurement relies on a conversion from linear displacement of a tensile element in a pulley system which is monitored by a low power rotational encoder. The orientation and mechanical architecture of the device is set to reduce the impact of off-axis movement or forces on the measurement of interest. A computing unit determines the distance measurement by determining the state of rotation in the system in the context of the system's specific design, without the need to constantly monitor the sensor.

  • Patent number: 11948807
Abstract: A set of features for a product is identified. It is determined that preventing an electrical connection at a ball-grid-array location on a ball-grid-array assembly of the product would result in the set of features. The ball-grid-array location is established as a target BGA location based on that determination. Suction is applied to a via at the target BGA location during reflow of the ball-grid-array assembly. With that application of suction, a solder ball at the target BGA location is drawn into the via.

  • Publication number: 20240097292
Abstract: A voltage source watchdog comprising a passive device is placed in series between a voltage source and a load. The passive device includes an electromigration (EM) joint of known materials that will create an electromigration void after a specified amount of current passes through the EM joint. After a known amount of current as passed through, a void is created and a voltage will no longer be sensed, thus providing a sure safety mode situation. When the voltage source is a battery, the battery life may be extended by selectively enabling voltage measurement operations for the proposed watchdog.

  • Publication number: 20220175561
Abstract: A retrievable stent configured to be positioned across the ductus arteriosus in a pediatric human patient to keep the ductus arteriosus open and ensure adequate blood flow is described. The retrievable stent can include a plurality of 4 to 8 struts that extend from a proximal end connector to a distal end tip, each having a curved proximal strut end, a curved distal strut end and an elongated strut body portion that extends from the curved proximal strut end to the curved distal strut end. When the stent is positioned in the ductus arteriosus, the curved proximal strut ends and the curved distal strut ends engage the ductus arteriosus to provide the radial force necessary to keep the ductus arteriosus open while the elongated strut body portions minimally engage the ductus arteriosus to prevent invagination into the vascular wall and thus allow for subsequent retrieval.

  • Patent number: 10931437
Abstract: Disclosed embodiments facilitate healthcare system security and interoperability. In some embodiments, a first entity may receive, in response to a transaction at a first time, encrypted information blocks pertaining to the transaction from one or more second entities. Each encrypted information block may be received from a distinct second entity and may comprise at least one sub-block decryptable by the first entity. The first entity may decrypt the decryptable sub-blocks and augment a multi-dimensional blockchain. The multi-dimensional blockchain may be augmented with a multi-dimensional block formed by linking at least one of the encrypted information blocks received from the one or more second entities to a current block being added to a blockchain associated with the transaction and maintained by the first entity. The first entity may then enable access to the multi-dimensional blockchain for at least one of the one or more second entities.

  • Publication number: 20200329775
Abstract: Vaporization devices, systems, and methods with automated thermal profile control are disclosed. Thermal profile information for a particular vaporizable material is encoded to control the operation of the vaporizer. The thermal profile is defined by a plurality of set points specified by power/temperature setting for a specified time. The thermal profile may be configured to be applied during a single or multiple inhalations. A thermal profile recipe code containing thermal profile information associated with the vaporizer cartridge and/or vaporizable material contained therein may be used to control the thermal profile. The thermal profile information may be automatically read by or communicated to the vaporizer and used thereby to automatically control the vaporizer heating element to implement the desired thermal profile associated with the vaporization material.

  • Patent number: 10778512
Abstract: Implementations described and claimed herein provided for a system for provisioning network resources. The system includes a network provisioning abstraction layer having an application interface for receiving network provisioning requests from applications and determine provisioning instructions for fulfilling the requests. Each of the received provisioning instructions is queued in a priority queuing system according to a request priority. The provisioning instructions for the highest priority requests are removed from the front of the queue and sent to a resource interface that relays the requests to the appropriate network resources.

  • Patent number: 10739120
Abstract: An explosive separation joint system having an expandable tube containing a mild detonating fuse (MDF) in separable portions of the joint. The MDF extends into a detonation manifold at a first port, an end of the MDF having booster bonded thereto. An external initiating ordnance transfer line enters the manifold at an initiating ordnance (IO) port, has an IO end tip and provides a detonation impulse train where each detonating component is axially aligned within a passageway with the next detonating component. In embodiments, particular detonating components of the detonation train are fixed in place where other detonating components are movable. Each detonating component that is not in direct contact with a preceding detonating component in the detonation train is in direct linear access.
