Abstract: A handheld wireless communication device (HWCD) establishes an ad hoc network comprising interconnected networks for a user. The HWCD gains access to content on a first device and controls communication of the content from the first device via the HWCD to a second device. The HWCD enables the second device to consume the content. The content may be streamed from the first device via the HWCD to the second device. The first device is a service provider network device or other network device. The access may be authenticated and/or secure. Secure access to the content is extended from the first device to the second device. The ad hoc network is configured and/or reconfigured until communication is complete. The HWCD comprises multiple wireless interfaces. The ad hoc network comprises a PAN, WLAN, WAN and/or cellular network. The HWCD may hand-off among base stations during communication of the content.

  • Publication number: 20120244493
Abstract: Screw syringe comprising a piston spindle with an external thread, a syringe barrel, comprising a sleeve with a piston end, and a female part with an internal thread. The female part slides in a radial sliding direction onto the piston end. The female part has a flange that creates a form fit with a counter-surface at the piston end so axial displacement of the female part in relation to the syringe barrel in the discharge direction is prevented. The female part has retaining surfaces, which create a form fit with counter-retaining surfaces of the piston end so that an axial displacement of the female part in relation to the syringe barrel counter to the discharge direction is prevented. The retaining surfaces and counter-retaining surfaces create a form fit so that a radial relative movement between the retaining surfaces and the counter-retaining surfaces, directed perpendicularly to the sliding direction, is prevented.

  • Publication number: 20120242026
Abstract: A culinary cutting board is disclosed. The cutting board improves sanitation and reduces physical space needed in food preparation. The non-porous cutting board includes a top piece and two identical and interchangeable leg pieces, which when attached to the top piece, elevate and tilt the cutting board. The tilt is such that grooves in the top piece facilitate the easy removal of juices into a collection device that fits under the elevated top piece and between the leg pieces, thereby saving physical space. The leg pieces can be disengaged from the top piece and all of the pieces can be cleaned in a high temperature washing system. The combination of elevation, tilt, and disengageable leg pieces makes for a cutting board with improved sanitation.

  • Publication number: 20120243612
Abstract: More customization and adaptation of coded data streams may be achieved by processing the information signal such that the various syntax structures obtained by pre-coding the information signal are placed into logical data packets, each of which being associated with a specific data packet type, and by defining a predetermined order of data packet types within one access unit. The consecutive access units may correspond to different time portions of the information signal. By defining the predetermined order it is possible, at decoder's side, to detect the borders between successive access units even when removable data packets are removed from the data stream between data stream source and decoder without incorporating any hints into the datastream. Therefore, decoders surely detect the access unit beginnings and endings and are not liable to buffer overflow.

  • Publication number: 20120246524
Abstract: In an encrypted wireless system, when a wireless node detects that it is having problems, it may be programmed to transmit one or more diagnostic messages without encryption, or with reduced encryption. The transmitted diagnostic messages may be received and interpreted by a technician troubleshooting the system. Once the technician troubleshoots and repairs the system, the affected wireless node may detect that it is operating normally, and may cease transmitting the unencrypted, or reduced-encryption, diagnostic messages. In most cases, the wireless system does not need any particular input to initiate the unencrypted, or reduced-encryption, diagnostic message transmissions.

  • Publication number: 20120244152
Abstract: The present invention discloses novel antibodies that specifically bind to the human platelet membrane protein Glycoprotein VI (GPVI) and their monovalent fragments or derivatives. The antibodies of the invention are antibodies from hybridoma clone 390 and fragment antibodies thereof able to induce a GPVI depletion pheno-type. These antibodies and Fab fragments are able to block collagen binding and thus preventing platelet activation by collagen. The invention also relates to hybridoma clones and expression plasmids for the production of disclosed antibodies and Fab fragments. The present invention further refers to the uses of monovalent antibody fragments to manufacture research, diagnostic and immunotherapeutic agents for the treatment of thrombosis and other vascular diseases. The invention also concerns a Fab bearing a molecule at the C-terminal extremity, as well as method for prevention of recognition of Fab by antibodies using such modified Fab.
