  • Patent number: 11712708
Abstract: Various examples are provided related to low pressure delivery, e.g., less than 250 psi at the point of application, of plural component system from unpressurized parts A and B material supplies. In one example, a system includes a polyurethane spray foam (“SPF”) raw material supply including parts A and B and a fluid handling system that can deliver the SPF raw material at low pressure to a metal spray gun in metered amounts through separate material fluid paths/conduits via a heated hose length and a whip hose. The fluid handling system can also deliver air at low pressure to the spray gun through separate air stream paths so that the air is communicated to the part A and B material conduits forward of the part A and B material input locations, where they are supplied separately to a mixing nozzle that is engaged at an end of the spray gun.

  • Patent number: 11713281
Abstract: Systems for and methods of manufacturing a ceramic matrix composite include introducing a gaseous precursor into an inlet portion of a reaction furnace having a chamber comprising the inlet portion and an outlet portion that is downstream of the inlet portion, and delivering a mitigation agent, such as water vapor or ammonia, into an exhaust conduit in fluid communication with and downstream of the outlet portion of the reaction chamber so as to control chemical reactions occurring with the exhaust chamber. Introducing the gaseous precursor densifies a porous preform, and introducing the mitigation agent shifts the reaction equilibrium to disfavor the formation of harmful and/or pyrophoric byproduct deposits within the exhaust conduit.

  • Patent number: 11715024
Abstract: A system and method for interpolating soil chemistry variables to different plots of land is described. A first interpolation training model includes a machine learning model that receives soil composition information. A distance field training model generates spatial predictors that are applied to the machine learning model. The first interpolation training model prioritizes spatial smoothing over accuracy. A second interpolation training model is also applied that includes a distance weighting training model that more greatly weighs interpolated soil composition information closer to a point of interpolation than interpolated soil composition information that is further away to the point of interpolation. The second interpolation training model prioritizes accuracy over spatial smoothing. The illustrative crop prediction engine estimates soil chemistry values at different locations with the first interpolation training model and the second interpolation training model.

  • Patent number: 11712246
Abstract: A method is provided for operating a powered surgical stapler having a motor unit, a controller. and a stapling assembly having a closure member, a staple driver member, and a knife member. The controller receives a user input that indicates a tissue gap to be defined by the stapling assembly in a closed state. Based on the user input, the controller controls the motor unit to actuate the closure member to transition the stapling assembly to the closed state to define the tissue gap and clamp tissue therein. The controller then controls the motor unit to actuate the staple driver member to drive staples into the clamped tissue. In response to determining that the staple driver member has reached a predetermined longitudinal position, the controller controls the motor unit to initiate actuation of the knife member to cut the clamped tissue.
