  • Publication number: 20190392412
Abstract: A store profile generation method includes moving a mobile base around a product facility which includes an arrangement of product display units for displaying products. Product labels are associated with the display units. The product labels display product-related data for the displayed products. With an image capture assembly mounted on the mobile base, images are acquired of the product display units at a sequence of locations of the mobile base. With a computer processor, the product-related data is extracted from the acquired images and a store profile is constructed, based on the extracted product-related data, a spatial characterization of the image capture assembly, and information on the locations of the mobile base when the images were acquired, which indicates locations of the product labels throughout the product facility.

  • Publication number: 20190391764
Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods for dynamically optimizing memory traffic in multi-client systems are disclosed. A system includes a plurality of client devices, a memory subsystem, and a communication fabric coupled to the client devices and the memory subsystem. The system includes a first client which generates memory access requests targeting the memory subsystem. Prior to sending a given memory access request to the fabric, the first client analyzes metadata associated with data targeted by the given memory access request. If the metadata indicates the targeted data is the same as or is able to be derived from previously retrieved data, the first client prevents the request from being sent out on the fabric on the data path to memory subsystem. This helps to reduce memory bandwidth consumption and allows the fabric and the memory subsystem to stay in a low-power state for longer periods of time.

  • Publication number: 20190394162
Abstract: A service enables a command that refers to a file system object using a hierarchical namespace identifier to be executed against the file system object in a flat namespace. The service selectively distributes the command to one of a plurality of name resolution nodes based on a directory name included in the hierarchical namespace identifier. The identified node resolves the directory name to a flat namespace identifier that is used to execute the command against the flat namespace. After communicating with at least one storage node to resolve a directory name, each name resolution node stores a mapping of the directory name to the corresponding flat namespace identifier in a cache, so that subsequent resolutions of that directory name may be performed more efficiently. Cache entries may be invalidated when an operation occurs that impacts the relevant mapping and/or based on system considerations such as cache expiry.

  • Publication number: 20190389937
Abstract: Described herein is a new antidote for the rapid elimination of carbon monoxide from hemoglobin, including brain, heart, and red cell hemoglobin. The disclosed therapy involves the use of modified human globins, particularly neuroglobins modified at residue 64 and cytoglobins modified at residue 81, which bind carbon monoxide with extremely high affinity. The monomeric mutant globins are infused into blood, where they rapidly and irreversibly sequester carbon monoxide, and thus limit toxic effects of carbon monoxide on cellular respiration and oxygen transport and utilization.
