  • Publication number: 20190361950
Abstract: A method including monitoring an amount of angular motion of an electronic device for a movement (e.g., casting motion) of the electronic device and determining that the amount of angular motion for the movement exceeds a threshold. A geographic location and a pointing direction of the electronic device may be determined for the movement. A geographic region may be determined based at least in part on the geographic location and the pointing direction of the electronic device. In some implementations, the geographic region may be determined based on the amount of angular motion for the movement. The geographic region may be used as part of a search query. Places of interest corresponding to the geographic region may be determined and provided for display and selection via a user interface of the electronic device. • Publication number: 20190363888
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention are directed to an improved system and method of producing, recording and reporting boot integrity measurements of an Internet of Things (“IoT”) computing device to resource (such as an on-chip software module, an external software module, a printer, a network router, or a server), so the resource can confirm that the IoT computing device can be trusted before access to the resource is granted. Embodiments provide a new and less expensive architecture for reliably collecting and relaying device state information to support trust-sensitive applications. Embodiments leverage crypto-acceleration modules found on many existing microprocessors and microcontroller-based IoT devices, while introducing little additional overhead or additional circuitry.

  • Publication number: 20190362251
Abstract: A computing device is described that receives first input, at an initial time, of a first textual character and a second input, at a subsequent time, of a second textual character. The computing device determines, based on the first and second textual characters, a first character sequence that does not include a space character between the first and second textual characters and a second character sequence that includes the space character between the first and second textual characters. The computing device determines a first score associated with the first character sequence and a second score associated with the second character sequence. The computing device adjusts, based on a duration of time between the initial and subsequent times, the second score to determine a third score, and responsive to determining that the third score exceeds the first score, the computing device outputs the second character sequence.

  • Publication number: 20190358313
Abstract: The present invention relates to polypeptides suitable for protection against and diagnosis of the conditions caused by flavivirus infections. More specifically, the invention concerns subunits of the zika virus envelope glycoprotein E secreted as mature recombinantly produced proteins from eucaryotic cells, such as from insect cells. Additional viral proteins or subunits, also produced in this way, provide additional active ingredients. These protein subunits, alone or in combination including combination with additional viral-derived peptides are protective against infection by flavivirus, such as zika virus, raise antibodies useful in immunization, and are useful in diagnosis of infection by the virus.
