  • Publication number: 20160277495
Abstract: A method and system for providing remote access to a state of an application is provided. The method comprises executing an application program at a server computer for performing an application associated therewith. At a client computer connected to the server computer via a communication network a remote access program is executed for providing remote access to a state of the performed application. At the client computer a client difference program having encoded data indicative of a change of a state of the application last received from the server computer is generated and transmitted to the server computer. At the server computer the client difference program is executed for determining an updated state of the application and a server difference program having encoded a difference between the updated state of the application and the state of the application last sent to the client computer is generated.

  • Publication number: 20160274557
Abstract: In a method for parameterizing an electrical device, a communication link is set up between a user unit and a computation apparatus. The latter provides a parameterization program for parameterizing the electrical device. The user unit is used to record settings made at the user end that affect the electrical device, and the recorded settings are used to form setting values for parameterizing the electrical device. A parameterization file containing the setting values is produced for the electrical device. In order to be able to perform parameterization of electrical devices, in particular electrical devices that are used in automation installations in a safety-critical environment, in a comparatively simple and inexpensive manner, the parameterization program for parameterizing the electrical device is executed by the computation apparatus and a user interface for the parameterization program is displayed by the user unit.

  • Publication number: 20160277300
Abstract: A method and system for detecting congestion in a network of nodes, abating the network congestion, and identifying the cause of the network congestion is provided. A congestion detection system may comprise a detection system, an abatement system, and a causation system. The detection system monitors the performance of network components such as the network interface controllers and tiles of routers to determine whether the network is congested such that a delay in delivering packets becomes unacceptable. Upon detecting that the network is congested, an abatement system abates the congestion by limiting the rate at which packets are injected into the network from the nodes. Upon detecting that the network is congested, a causation system may identify the job that is executing on a node that is the cause of the network congestion.

  • Publication number: 20160274257
Abstract: A method for generating an improved stack from wide azimuth data. This is accomplished by displaying gather traces in a geometrically sensible way that depends on gather and processing type. Once a gather is available in such a manner, a geoscientist can use various geometric or freehand shapes to indicate which traces from the gather to stack and which to ignore. Given sufficient computing power, this can be done interactively, allowing a geoscientist to determine a set of traces that create an optimal stack at a single location in the output cube. Multiple locations can be improved in this manner and a final stack can be generated that contains a blended agglomeration of all of the improvements.

  • Publication number: 20160272672
Abstract: The photolabile hydrazine linker of the present invention is based on the o-nitro-veratryl group, which is capable of releasing hydrazide derivatives upon UV irradiation. The linker allows for a new solid-phase peptide synthesis (SPPS) strategy which is fully orthogonal to the most commonly used protecting groups and chemical methods in SPPS and shows excellent compatibility with peptide composition, notably the 20 naturally occurring a-amino acid residues (even in their side-chain protected form) are accepted in the C-terminal of the peptide hydrazides. Furthermore, the linker unit can be applied to synthesize combinatorial libraries of biological interesting heterocyclic compounds, such as pyranopyrazoles.
