  • Patent number: 10116393
Abstract: A single chip dual-channel driver for two independent traveling wave modulators. The driver includes two differential pairs inputs per channel respectively configured to receive two digital differential pair signals. The driver further includes a two-bit DAC per channel coupled to the two differential pairs inputs to produce a single analog differential pair PAM signal at a differential pair output for driving a traveling wave modulator. Additionally, the driver includes a control block having internal voltage/current signal generators respective coupled to each input and the 2-bit DAC for providing a bias voltage, a tail current, a dither signal to assist modulation control per channel. Furthermore, the driver includes an internal I2C communication block coupled to a high-speed clock generator to generate control signals to the control block and coupled to host via an I2C digital communication interface.

  • Patent number: 10112259
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for dicing substrates by both laser scribing and plasma etching. A method includes laser ablating material layers, the ablating by a laser beam with a centrally peaked spatial power profile to form an ablated trench in the substrate below thin film device layers which is positively sloped. In an embodiment, a femtosecond laser forms a positively sloped ablation profile which facilitates vertically-oriented propagation of microcracks in the substrate at the ablated trench bottom. With minimal lateral runout of microcracks, a subsequent anisotropic plasma etch removes the microcracks for a cleanly singulated chip with good reliability.

  • Patent number: 10115116
Abstract: A “Poll Optimizer” provides automated techniques for performing various combinations of both static and runtime optimizations for crowd-sourced queries including, but not limited to, crowd-sourced opinion-based polls. These optimizations have been observed to improve poll performance by reducing factors such as completion times, monetary costs, and error rates of polls. In various implementations, the Poll Optimizer receives an input query representing a crowd-sourced poll that is formatted as a multi-layer structure (e.g., LINQ-based queries natively supported by .NET languages, JQL-based queries supported by JAVA, etc.). The Poll optimizer then iteratively reduces the multi-layer structure of the input query to construct a reformulated query. This reformulated query is then matched to an optimized execution process selected from a plurality of predefined execution processes.

  • Patent number: 10111669
Abstract: A system for deploying and selectively inflating a thoracic aortic balloon at a desired location within the thoracic aorta for resuscitative aortic occlusion, inferior to the left subclavian artery, without the aid of fluoroscopy is described. Using CT imaging data, a distance between readily identifiable and consistently located external landmarks of torso extent is measured. Next, using the same data, a second distance from the femoral artery to a desired aortic occlusion location inferior to the left subclavian artery is determined. A correlation between the external measure of torso extent and the desired intra-arterial (i.e. endovascular) distance within the torso is made. Using a nomogram, a calibrated endovascular resuscitative thoracic aortic occlusion system can be positioned to this desired location on any injured individual with end-stage shock and impending cardiovascular collapse or death without the aid of fluoroscopy for delivery or balloon inflation.

  • Patent number: 10114633
Abstract: Provided are techniques for concurrent Input/Output (I/O) enclosure firmware/Field-Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) update in a multi-node environment. First notifications are sent to each I/O enclosure management engine on each of a plurality of server nodes that code activation for a first set of I/O enclosures is starting. An update image is distributed to the first set of I/O enclosures. The update image on the first set of I/O enclosures is activated by sending an activate reset command to each of the first set of I/O enclosures, wherein a reset is not propagated to other devices within each I/O enclosure in the first set of I/O enclosures in response to determining that the reset is an activate reset. In response to the activate reset command completing, second notifications are sent to each I/O enclosure management engine that code activation for the first set of I/O enclosures has completed.

  • Patent number: 10114729
Abstract: Systems and methods for analyzing performance of a processing system are based on performance counters provided in trace points located at selected nodes of the processing system. A first transaction to be monitored is identified as a transaction to be monitored at a first trace point if the transaction is detected, by a performance counter, more than a threshold number of times at the first trace point. A first trace tag identifier is associated with the first transaction at the first trace point. The first transaction is identified at one or more other trace points based on the first trace tag identifier. Based on time stamps at which the first transaction is identified at the trace points, information such as trace information, latency, locality of a consuming device of the first transaction, etc. is obtained from the various trace points.
