The parachute canopy is coupled to the aircraft at a point aft of a center of mass of the aircraft. It is determined, based at least in part on the sensor data, whether to generate a control signal associated with maneuvering the aircraft into a nose-up position. A recovery action is performed, including by deploying the parachute canopy; wherein a load on the parachute canopy is reduced in the event the aircraft is in the nose-up position compared to the aircraft being in a nose-down position.

    Abstract: Provided are methods for both pollinating and simulating pollination of a crop plant having one or more stigmas that are receptive to pollen and that produces at least one seed, grain, or fruit of interest. Methods of the present invention include ingesting input data, such as reproductive maturity data, for a population of the crop plant, sufficient to determine one or more days on which the crop plant will be receptive to pollen. The input data is modeled to generate the amount of receptive stigmas in the population, the effect of intentionally applying pollen during each time step to transform the number of receptive stigmas to a modeled output of seed, grain, or fruit of interest, and generating one or more time steps during which intentional pollination is modeled to provide a greater harvest of the seed, grain, or fruit of interest than other of said time steps.

The first and second operating elements are coupled to a handle assembly via separate and distinct coupling mechanisms so that manipulation of the second operating element does not affect the first operating element thereby preventing twisting of the first operating element about the second operating element. The wand assembly may include a first, inner rotatable wand and a second, stationary outer wand. The inner wand is rotatable relative to the outer wand so that rotation of the inner wand does not rotate the outer wand, and hence the first operating element coupled to the outer wand.

Lists of elements to be sorted can be placed into one of at least two different heaps based on whether they overlap the merge window. For example, lists that overlap the merge window may be placed into an active or “hot” heap, while lists that do not overlap the merge window may be placed into a separate inactive or “cold” heap. A sorted output can then be generated by iteratively processing the active heap. As the processing of the active heap progresses, the merge window advances, and lists may move between the active and inactive heaps.
