  • Publication number: 20220013103
Abstract: An ultrasonic transducer that includes a delay line, an active piezoelectric element, and interposing metal conductive layer between the delay line and active piezoelectric element. The delay line and active piezoelectric element are joined so that ultrasonic waves may be coupled from the active piezoelectric element into the delay line or from the delay line into the active piezoelectric element. A via is formed, using a milling operation, in the active piezoelectric element to expose the edge of the interposing metal conductive layer between the delay line and active piezoelectric element. A conductive layer makes electrical contact between the interposing metal conductive layer and the surface of the active piezoelectric element to allow an electrical connection to be made from the surface of the active piezoelectric element to the interposing metal conductive layer.

  • Publication number: 20220009990
Abstract: The present disclosure provides recombinantly manufactured ultra-long acting insulin-Fc fusion proteins for use in treating canine and feline diabetes. The insulin-Fc fusion proteins comprise an insulin polypeptide linked via a peptide linker to an Fc-fragment of canine or feline origin. Based on the results obtained, creating a treatment that is amenable to low cost manufacturing, exhibits sufficient in vivo bioactivity, displays extended duration of bioactivity, does not induce anti-drug antibodies, and substantially retains is potency over multiple administrations, requires a non-obvious combination of insulin polypeptide, peptide linkers, and species-specific Fc fragment, in addition to selective mutations on one or more of these components. Exemplary ultra-long acting insulin-Fc fusion proteins, polynucleotides encoding these insulin-Fc fusion proteins, and pharmaceutical formulations of exemplary insulin-Fc fusion proteins are provided, in addition to methods of use and preparation.

  • Publication number: 20220012931
Abstract: Methods and systems are described herein for improved techniques for consuming and interacting with media content. Specifically, the media guidance application may generate holographic animations that move from a holographic structure from which a user has selected a media asset and direct the user to a display device capable of presenting the media asset. For example, in response to a user selecting a baseball movie from a holographic bookcase, the media guidance application may generate for display a holographic baseball that is “thrown” from the bookcase to a television that will present the baseball movie.
